Hear me out for a second. Has anyone done a combo of the two?
The issue I have will collars is that they compress the factory springs which are progressive spring rates and in turn create a harsher ride. The issue with springs like the Eibachs and Geisers is they give you a set lift of height...
That what I plan on doing as well. Best set up IMO as you can remove it if needed to have full use of the bed. Saw a similar set up on this build on IG:
Same Front Runner rack but uses a retrax cover. Full build info here: https://www.instagram.com/asv_raptor/
Yea I have been having that issue for years its the main reason I put stuff on them, I not sure the real cause but I always assumed it was the sun, as even the spare on the back of my Wrangler thats not touching the road does this.
Here is the Retrax with a front runner rack mounted on it. I posted this in the other Rack thread (https://www.fordraptorforum.com/posts/1402119/) but works for this one too:
I looked at the collars but not a fan as they compress the factory springs an since they are progressive ride at a firmer rate than without. I know both the Eibachs and Geisers ride better because of that. I was just curious of the two which one raised the front end more.
Yea I meant Gray, for some reason I typed black first and then typed gray in the next sentence.
I like color matched trim as it just makes things look cleaner IMO I even did this on my old FJ.
The Silver Gen 2 I post though made the gray trim look good by adding the stripe along the...
I think with a lot of the colors all the black trim makes the truck too busy and cheapens the look. I agree with you that the Painted fenders helps it look more polished.
I did see this Gen 2 on IG though that did a good job of using the Gray bumpers and fenders and make it look 2-tone and...
Between the Geiser & Eibachs which one raises the truck less upfront after settling? Some of the other threads on the Eibachs said that they gave the front too much rake and a set of Deavers were a must.
For those saying it goes all over the vehicle are probably spraying it on and driving around. The correct way to apply it is to spray it on let it sit for a few minutes then wipe with a lint-free rag (I use a Costco Microfiber) this leaves them looking new but not plasticy like your favorite...
Ah that makes a lot more sense as on those older designs its just a bolt in the lip and they don't have the welded on fake beadlock. That's a bummer the 312 while having the look of a water draining beadlock don't actually have the holes. I have a set of 305 NV and I hate how they hold water so...
Some are as OMF sells replacement Beadlock rings for them:
EDIT: OMF lists only method standards and mesh. I was just hoping some of the new ones offered that as well.
