The SW S-tube mufflers don't drone much, certainly not anywhere close to Flowmaster mufflers. If you have the S-tube mufflers, I would say you will be relatively safe removing the resonator. It will be loud, which introduces its own challenges, but audible drone should be minimal.

So did the re-tune help with the low end power?

It's a give and take. Unless there's a major problem, you probably didn't lose any low end torque; but you probably didn't gain a whole lot below 2200 RPMs. When the torque spike does kick in, it's probably pulling harder than it was before, but is negated seat of the pants by the fact that the...

Back pressure is not the issue, in fact it shouldn't even be brought into the conversation because "back pressure" just means restriction on a modern engine. Placing a muffler or added restriction is not going to necessarily help with low end torque. Increasing exhaust gas velocity at low RPMs...

The resonator pipe alone is $287.83, which we found to be somewhat pricey. That's actually why we decided to have MBRP create this kit because it drove the cost down all around.

Surprise! Forgot to tell you guys both pipes would be coming. That probably won't be the case going forward but for the first run it was. Any videos? Should be a smoother tone, less boomy, and a tad quieter than without the resonator. There is probably a little drone since it dumps under the bed...
