I also want to know why..raptor is a raptor but the gen 2's are upgraded in alot of ways. More power while being lighter with stiffer frame and more travel seems like a upgrade from the gen 1.
I have a 17 and its leaking from the same bolt on the same side as yours. Did u have yours fixed yet? Looks like the intake has to come off to get to the valve cover. I hate dealing with the dealer on shit like this. I'm on the fence about doing the work myself or taking it to the dealer. I...
I bought a 5th tpms and do a 5 tire rotate.. but i couldn't get the truck to recognize the new tpms..you should see the confusion in the service writers eyes when I asked about all this when I first thought of it.. so did any one else have luck doing it??
Yeah that's what I put on my 17. Eibach coil and deaver +2 leaf. It gets rid of the lift block and the bump pad so u need to get an aftermarket bump pad for the rear axle. But it really helps with the axle wrap and jittery ride in the sand. It sits level, I never have anything in the bed so the...
The problem with the rebound on the fox internal bypass is it bleeds the rebound valve through open holes at the bottom of the shock body..hard to control being that there drilled holes..I'm having the same troubles
Yeah, damn internet..lol. save up for the king oem replacement shocks (that's what I'm doing anywayz)..they are almost infinitely adjustable..the holes that fox uses in there inner body are hard to adjust ..good luck..let me know what u end up getting
A stiffer valve is not going to let a shock react quicker..that just doesn't make sence..open up a shock and you'll realize what's going on inside them. Reason I bought the truck was to adjust the shocks to my style of driving..I was bummed to find out that those foxes are kinda stuck the way...
But like stated before with the design of foxes internal bypass, theres not much we can do to get the rebound valveing stiffer.. the loose rebound works good for hauling ass In close whoops but I dont drive it like that everyday..
I always wondered how the geiser springs felt. But either way when you adjust your spring rate, most commonly you would adjust the valveing somewhere. So the foxes are just hard to deal with there design..they use holes in the inner body to bypass the fluid around the piston..I like kings idea...
Joshua tree?? Where the hell is that?? Haha j/k..that where I live..I have the stock ride height deaver rear spring..helped a ton with the wheel hop and jittery feel!!! Also put the eibach coil on the front but that really showed the soft rebound valveing!! Also pulled the sway bar off!! In...
Man yeah the rebound valveing is horrid! Ive got a 17' I tweaked mine a bit to soften the compression and stiffen the rebound but with those bypass holes drilled in the bottom of the body, theres really nothing left to do..next time I'm going to try and block those holes with a thin piece of...
I've opened my shocks up and flutter stacked all compression stacks and even moved shims around. Also run a bit lower nitrogen pressure than stock in the shocks
That's foxs internal bypass design..I hate it..they have 5 big holes drilled in the inner body so the rebound valveing pretty much free bleeds..thus throwing the hood in the air and the tires off the ground over tiny stuff..good for high speed but it makes slower speeds suk..kings ibp is where...
The gen 1 doesn't hang with the gen 2. Be realistic! its faster, lighter, more suspension travel..no brainer.. I run just enough air to keep the light off and I've lightened the compression valveing in the stock shocks..soon to put kings on it so I can further adjust them
I have been getting service advance track, hill start assist disabled, hill descent assist disabled, a wrench icon. All intermittent in my 17..I swear it screams a faulty wheel speed sensor.. I'll clean them and report back..getting the shaft from my local dealer suks!!
17 raptor and I've been getting the wrench icon aswell, no stalling but I did have a real rough down shift once..have read that some get trans pumps..truck feels fine and if u shut it off the light goes away
Problem with a revalve is it doesn't do to much to the ride as to theres so many free bleed holes drilled in the damn inner tube.. then at the bottom it has huge holes drilled in the tube to free bleed all rebound valveing..I personally hate it..I dont know why fox doesn't see the need to...
Because the stock ones look like snow flakes and the offset it horrible. I put bead locks on mine at stock width with no offset..the stock forged ones are nice but to bead lock them the wheels end up an inch wider, thus shortening your tire.
