Its a tiny bit rusty because its been outside for a couple months and it's been rained on a couple times over the last couple years..it would only rain when I would need to pull it outside of the garage to do another project. But its in so cal so its not all that bad
That blue one recently got rolled..it was a huge bummer..it was on a terra crew video..ill try and post pics of mine..i still hadnt figured out how to do it though..i have the converted front glass to make it look like a 96 f150
I have a very nice start for sale..its a 71 f100..( same body style as Eisenhowers f100) its i- beamed but it could be reconfigured if center mounted a arms is what your going for. 28" of travel with rear 4 link.it currently tagged and street legal. Was my dream build but I back burnered it...
I ran the +2 deaver pack with the sdhq bump stop pad for a while it changes the truck right out of the box, such a planted feel, with a lot less axle wrap and jittery ride. but now I'm going to the +3 with rpg extended shackle for some more droop travel. I bought an rpg bed cage / shock mount...
Lol..leaf springs are going to grind against each other in the pack..the rust will always be there especially in damp climate.. some manufacturers offer powder coating them but that will even wear off over time..don't know who makes icon springs for them but deaver and national wouldn't have the...
Just got the 3.0 king and for the money they want for the rear oem king I got a 16" 4 tube bypass 3.5" king and now with the +3 and an extended shackle ill get around 17-18 inches of travel. Just had to buy a bed cage/shock tower
How new are your front springs?? Are you looking for a level look or rake look?? Do u haul stuff in the bed?? They also say to run +3s to compensate for bed weight like chase racks and spare tires
With the +2 leafs you'll need stock length shackles to sit at stock hieght.. the +3 deaver springs lift 1" so u run stock length shackles to keep the 1" lift or run a lowering shackle to sit at stock height and gain more droop travel if u have longer shocks
I have a set of +2 deaver leaf springs used off of my gen 2 , about 2 years old.. brand new ubolts to go with..looking to get 1000$ for them, bushings are still in good shape and has a fresh coat of paint on them..located in Joshua tree, ca.
I had the same problem..I've mentioned it in recent forums..crazy rattle..i still have a tiny one I can't find but yeah the brake pads will drive u nuts!!
I run them in every tire i own..the only time I had trouble was not running the correct weight of beads..i use airsoft bb's now days..i mount and dismount my own tires tho..tire shops will push using a bag of beads and I don't think that is as accurate as loose beads being able to spread out
Run balance beads!! Ever since I tried them I'm hooked..way more accurate than a balance machine thats "calibrated" and even then it has a high school kid operating it..lol..the beads do a perfect balance every time u drive, even as the tire wears, no need for a rebalance.. and no need for...
I rock the toyo at 2s, love those tires..i can't wait to try the 3s are they 10 ply tires? Thats why mine ride a bit stiffer than the stock bfgs at 8 ply
