I was thinking the same thing- could a Raptor make it? I don't think a stocker could.
As previously mentioned- weight (and to a smaller degree) - width would have stopped it dead.
Now, with some 40"+ tires, D 70's and some gearing, maybe, but there was that one part when the Toys were tearing...
Welcome
Yes, keep watch on here, I cant find any Nor NV guys who want to run, so I have to run with these Nor Cal gombahs, (who are entertaining to say the least) but, we still manage to have a good time.
Pack up that blazer, bring it out here to NV and lets see what happens. I got about a 50 mile run where I would love to see what happens.
Unrealistic comparisons like this really insult everyone's intelligence.
Nope, no restrictions- as long as you are truly non commercial & not in violation of any weight restrictions due to road conditions.
You can get passenger plates for what CA considers a commercial vehicle by doing the camper shell / seats thing.
All NV does is ask you if you are using it...
In CA your stuck with commercial plates, but there aren't all the stupid road restrictions like NY.
I don't know how anyone can stand to live there (I still have some family there) the government screws you guys 10 ways from Sunday. I thought CA was bad, but they make NY look like paradise.
I wouldn't turn it on part way down, I think you have to let it run the show from the start, because I don't think it will come on unless your stopped (it's been a while since I have fooled with my HDC).
What it wont do, or shouldn't do is allow the wheels to slide at all, but that is...
What they said. it sounds like all sorts of crap has failed all at once, there's more whirring, clicking, groaning than you should hear in a properly functioning vehicle.
It will get your brakes freaking hot, so use it responsibly.
Shit, I stay away for a couple of days and this happens.....Sorry to hear this.
Look at it this way, you get some payback- Wait till they wash it and see what the paint really looks like.
What about the new Cherokee? Yeah, the styling is either love it or hate it, but once you're past that they are comfortable, quiet & you can get all the bells and whistles.
No I don't think the world would be a better place if everyone did what I do.
Wow! 500 day!! I am impressed!! I hope you have your paid off house and copious toys protected legally because when your overloaded Raptor takes out a family of 4 you're going to need all the legal protection you...
I know the older Ford TBCs were always checking the electrical integrity of the trailer brakes, so if you developed a short either in the wiring or thru a worn magnet it would throw a code.
With that being said, they were overly sensitive and tended to show a lot of faults that weren't there. I...
I think this is a great idea, as the Raptor has some specific needs in regard to trails- specifically width. A lot of the Jeep guides can get us into serious trouble. I am much more comfortable following a route that another Raptor has done.
Regarding the liability issue, all that is being...
Oh, you noticed that? The most I have seen here in one day here is 6, An average day is 3-4 and usually they are going 70+ the other way.
Raptors also don't get the looks around here like they do in CA.
