Shoot M3dragon a PM, we have a mapped route from Vegas-Reno (both Garmin and Lowrance). As TheMacF said NV is covered with roads / trails, lots to do here....
Well that sure didn't take long. My guess is some dealership owner's spoiled kid did the deed. It sure took the hit well.
We all know some hack will "fix" it...how long before it reappears on Ebay?
Based on the chart from previous page, they are good for 2535# each, so weight isn't a big issue. But yeah, i can see the sidewall concerns, as that's what took me out a few years ago, the one and only tire failure I have had.
Wont let that happen, several here can vouch for my sanity. But wouldn't it be nice to get some dirt under them nice new tires?..
Anyway, i run with a group out of Sac, so you indirectly have friends in the area who are willing to show you the ropes.
This is their last run...
Well that's good news. Congrats.
Did you know 80 is closed from 4-8 to 4-12, so you will have to spend a day or so here in Reno enjoying some off road fun?
Ok, so maybe 80 wont be closed...but you need to stop and explore some trails, you know you want to...i mean, you really think Prairie City...
Usually they are so busy at the check point dealing with the morons that have either chained up the real axle of a FWD car or just don't have chains- if you look legit- you get waved on thru.
With my Gen I I didn't even have to stop, they waved me thru before I even got to the stopping point.
Depends on where you are going / expect to be. When I am just driving around town, I don't haul too much aside from a fire extinguisher, first aid kit and a couple of tie downs and some bungee cords. I do have two containers full of tools, recovery stuff, and basic survival gear that gets...
I had a '10 Raptor and an '11 FX4. To me the seats are definitely different. The FX4 is comfortable, but the Raptor is a tick more cushy & seemed to have better bolstering.
Realistically I think Nick is being optimistic, i think only about 3% of the Raptors ever see dirt. How much off roading you may or may not do depends a lot on where you live. But having a Raptor sure makes it easier and more fun. As far as the other guys giving you a hard time yeah they might...
I don't see it happening. To many contradictions. Your'e looking for a Clydesdale that can run like a quarter horse. Towing
14 K requires much different capabilities than running thru the desert at high speeds.
Now, if big towing isn't a requirement, a long travel F-250 would be possible- just...
I had my Vair in front of the radiator, ran a ton of miles off road with no damage or issues with the compressor. Yeah, dust will get thru, but rain and rocks were never an issue.
Cool, and given the CA sellers climate, I can understand CO....Keep us posted..Seriously I have a quick route you can run on. After all those road miles you HAVE to taste some dirt.
