    Expedition Trailers: Which one?

Give this guy a look- he's local (to me) & might be able to customize things for you. I havent had any dealings with him, but he's fairly active on the local 4X4 site & there hasnt been a bunch of bitching about him, so I guess he's an OK guy. Sierra 4×4 Trailers – Jeep & Off Road Trailers...

    my Raptor vs Prius

Good that you’re not hurt or it doesn’t seem that you are. If it was me, I wouldnt mention wearing or not wearing a seat belt on a public forum. If things get all lawyer-y and you find you have some medical issues they might bring up contributory negligence but that's only if someone...

Stupid Things People Say About Raptors

I havent gotten any negative comments, but I dont live in a tree hugging area. So far most comments go like this: Them: Is that a Raptor? Me: Yep Them: Cool, do you ever take it off road? Me: Look at the skid plate (it's got some scars) Them: Oh.. Is it fast? Me: Wanna try to follow...

11 months old and a dead battery already...WTF?!

If it were me I would have had Ford tow it to the dealership. This way there is no question / doubt as to who found / did what. My guess is it's a bad battery. Today's batteries seem to either die in the first year or they go forever.

My work van (2005 Ford Freestar) has 255K miles, has had the shit ran out of it it's whole life & doesnt use a drop of oil. You keep clean oil in them, dont overheat them and these new engines will run a hell of a long time.

    4HI question

I wouldnt use 4WD. Your traction will probably be good enough to cause some handling & driveline issues. Unless your hydroplaning (sp?), in which case 4WD wont help you because your tires have lost traction.

    Christmas ruined by a lowlife

And this points out the biggest problem with the police today. They dont want to catch crooks, they are more worried about tires and lights & writing you a ticket for that. The average citizen shouldnt be worried about called the police, the crooks should be afraid of the police. All of the...

    Considering a New Raptor - few ???

As previously mentioned, the SRT8 is not the most capable off road vehicle Jeep has to offer, while the Raptor is one of the best. The Raptor is a great road trip vehicle, if you see an interesting dirt road; you can take it without a lot of worry. We have done a couple of long trips in ours...

    4HI question

The reason why you do not want to be in 4WD on dry pavement is because both axles are locked together in 4WD. All four wheels travel at different speeds (distances) when turning. On a slippery surface the tires can slip & that allows them to travel at different speeds (distances) without...

why did you decide to get a Raptor

I got mine after I figured out I only drove my Jeep 1,120 miles in one year. The Jeep was way too small for the wife, dog, ice chest and other crap I drag around. Plus the Jeep was just not the right vehicle since I now lived in the desert. Sold the Jeep, the boring 2008 F150 we had and got the...

I went ahead and fixed that for ya, VG.:waytogo: But seriously, not many places in this wonderful country where you're 2 hours from, the ocean, the mountains, or the desert! Well, it averages out for me. 5 min to the desert (right behind the house) 10 min to pine trees (across the freeway)...
