People have been talking about a V8 option since the fact a V6 would be in the new Raptor was announced. If that has been anyone's reason for waiting they have been waiting at least 3 years so far. Also, if you are thinking the (so far) mythical "V8 option" will be the newly announced 7.3...
So it looks like the same size / shape / footprint to me, but the none moonroof models do not have the switches for the moonroof, and the sunglasses holder changes shape to allow for those switches.

That is a control head for a Yaesu FT7900R VHF/UHF transceiver. The radio body of the radio is mounted under the back seat.
A few more details on the install here:

That all has been changed since, I now use a single radio (Kenwood TS2000X) and...
Here is what mine looks like (no moonroof). Sorry it is not an uncluttered picture of the overhead, but this is the only pic I have online that shows the overhead.

If you never tow this is probably an excellent answer. However, when I tried it the AutoStop unable icon that flashed on at almost every stop annoyed me.

As near as I can tell the overhead console is the same for all Raptors, SCREWs and SCABs, moonroof or not. My 2018 SCREW does not have a moonroof, and the overhead console looks just the same as all the others I have seen.

I have never done the CANOpener thing, so I am just going on what I have seen about that. I have the AE installed, and I did do the “unplug the connector thing” to try it.
The unplug the connector hack works, and is easy and cheap. However, I do tow periodically and did not want to have to...
That is what I have found. Every vehicle we have purchased since 1996 we went in ready to pay in cash or check, whichever got the best deal, and ended up financing for one reason or another. The wifes last 3 cars we got with 0% financing and various incentives (in each case we worked out the...
In the Vehicle Monitoring screen the Auto StartStop (this is the one you are referencing) is a status indicator, as I said a few posts above. That one you cannot select, it just tells you what your dash button is set to. But in the Settings menu there is an AutoStop selection, you can check...
There appear to be at least two different types of consoles out there. One with translucent letters, these would pass light from behind if you provide a light source. These are not painted on, but rather are either cast in translucent or the entire part is cast translucent and everything else...
Could we be talking about different years? My 2018 does not have full stop ACC. There are two places in the menu that mention AutoStop or AutoStartStop. In the vehicle monitoring display there is one that indicates the current condition of the dashboard switch. In the Settings menu there is...
(edit) I did not write this up intending to be an ad for the Autostop Eliminator, but reading it I can see where it might come across that way. I am not connected to the company that makes this device in any way, I am just a, so far, satisfied user.
Auto-start-stop is a feature that seems to...
My 9 month old 2018 has about 18k miles on it. Around 1500-2000 miles I saw an improvement in highway MPG of about 1 to 2 MPG. However, after that I did two things, I calibrated the trucks MPG calculation (it was off significantly), and I started playing with the tire pressures. So it is hard...
^^^^ this
While I have no idea if Ford would consider a TT V8, the above sounds like a winning approach to me. It stays within Fords Ecoboost future, it bumps up power and torque from the current level significantly, and it delivers a V8 sound for those that have to have that. And it delivers...
My 2018 has about 18k miles on it. I do oil changes about every 3-4k. In that time the truck uses a perceptible, but not large, amount of oil, and has since day one. The oil drops maybe 1/4 inch (or a bit less) on the dipstick during 3-4k miles I put on each oil change. What that means in...
This will only work (you adding the light and having illuminated letters) if your vehicle does NOT have painted on letters. Mine has painted letters, and if I ordered the part and put in the light I still would not have illuminated letters on the console.

Yeah, prior to the ETM adjustment my indicated MPG, and so the miles to empty indication, always read high. My indicated MPG was commonly between 1 and 2 MPG too high, for example with 15 MPG real mileage (my calculations based on fuel input vs miles traveled) I might have indicated as much as...
Only if the new V8 makes the same or more power and the same or more torque, and gets about the same or more fuel economy. In short, if I gave up nothing I currently have to get the V8. Personally I would accept a bit of a mileage loss for significantly more power (HP or torque) but I am not...
My work truck is a 2018 5.0 regular cab FX4 4x4. On average it gets about 1 to 2 MPG worse, over the same roads, than my 2018 Raptor. We are talking about 14 (5.0 truck) and 16 (Raptor) MPG in this case under these conditions. But my Raptor is a SCREW and my work truck is a regular cab, my...
Yes, those are the cold pressures, checked and adjusted as needed every 2 to 4 weeks.
I live in the desert, so in general that is being used in hot climates, this winter will be my first winter with this truck (March 2018 build purchased in April 2018). I have taken the truck on a 6000 mile...
When running unloaded and over the road I run 38 fronts and 35 rears, and have since the first week of ownership (mine were delivered with ~50 lbs in each). And those settings might still be a little over inflated, despite matching / being less than what is marked on the door jamb. After...
It seems that Ford removed the lighted PRNDM, and it looks like it may have happened in stages during the 2018 production year.
I don't have any particular knowledge on the subject, the below is just based on my observation.
Early 2018's have lighted PRNDM. At some point (SSM 47312 indicates...
