My first raptor was a 2010 with 6.2 liter and had a few things the earlier raptor didn't like a sunroof for example. I believe they started adding the 6.2L option after October 2010.
I love my Gen 1 loud v8 supercharged beast!
Wouldn't do a 2 just not a v6 in a truck guy I'm sorry (I'm not sorry lol)
The new raptor R coming out is looking great.
It was a good concept or gimmick I guess because you could immediately feel the difference on the butt dyno. I remember alot of other raptor owners saying save your money and just press the Gas pedal harder
In my case it was the pedal commander. I apologize in advance if I go into too much detail.
I've had it installed for around 3-4 years. I was using it all the time at first, usually on city +1 or +2 sometimes in sport but then I found it completely unnecessary, it just got old and I only used...
That's good to know. still haven't taken mine in. I haven't had any issues either thankfully. Except for
today the stupid orange wrench light came on while at a red light and felt like it went into limp mode. I pulled over, restarted the truck and has been fine since. Not sure why it came on...
Yeah! You see that's what I'm afraid of. I'm fine now and then after they mess with it my transmission falls out or takes a crap on me ♂️
I've been sticking with the if it ain't broke don't fix it mindset but I'm still searching just in case
Thanks Vash, good insight. See that's what I'm wondering but can't get a straight answer even from my tuner actually.
Say I take the Truck to ford and revert to stock tune temporarily while they do their update. Although you shouldn't drive the truck in boost on the road I think it would be ok...
I do it after sitting for a bit since my truck is not a 100% daily driver. It works fine and even if it's snake oil I feel better doing it and it doesn't hurt anything. My truck is SC and revs high at start up so I feel better priming the oil system for a few seconds before letting the pedal go...
What's up AZDezRat
What did you end up doing? I just caught up on all the posts related to your original question. All great responses too just wondered if you ended up making any changes.
My situation is pretty much like yours except I met the owner who sold me the truck and although he...
Hello peeps!
Been a minute since I've been on here, hectic times.
Question: has anyone done the trans shift software update recall and now the lead frame recall on a modified Gen1? In my case Whipple charged setup with aftermarket SCT tuner?
When I tried taking the truck to the dealer back...
One of my first raptors was a 2010 scab black on black with the 6.2, Sun roof and all the goodies. I had a blast with that truck at TRR off road events and hung with the jeeps on some of the creek adventures I took her on lol, it was or should I say still is an amazing truck since it now belongs...
Old thread but what the hell just wanted to say that I tried holding the pedal down after an oil change and i liked that it hesitated to start for a few seconds priming the oil system before I released the pedal and truck actually firing up.
I have a Livernois built head and Supercharger (not...
I keep my truck in the shop now and placed glue traps near the garage bay door sides where I could see something small could get in, I also used that "good stuff" foam from Home Depot to seal the sides.
I have used those electronic pulse things in the past also with good results I think, don't...
I had a friggin mud gobber (mud wasp) crawl into my valve cover through a small hole on my intake breather hose and build a @&)&! Mud nest inside my driver side valve cover. It must of chewed the plastic hose to get inside because I don't remember having that hole there, hole was small but those...
I thought I'd touch base on this to close it up. Thank you all for your help. It's crazy how something so small can cause a big headache. Glad to have the people on this forum to help. The actual part for my truck ended up costing $7 plus shipping, I ordered a couple extra. It was in deed called...
