Here is my thread on how I wrapped (in progress) my 2012 Raptor. I am going to try to be as detailed as I can so that if someone else decides to try this, they will at least have a good idea how easy or hard it will be.
I want to wrap the flares and bumpers too. I have only seen one other...
Hey EODbmg17, would you be willing to send me the pics of when they did your wrap? I am going to be doing my own matte black wrap when my roll gets delivered and any info I have before I do it would be awesome.
Trucks look sweeet! :waytogo:
I found out that Ford and NASA have come up with a new rivet that is used on not only the space ship they are building to go to Mars, but the front license plate bracket.
So, here is what i did to remove the rivets.
First I got a mirror to see myself, I mean, the rivets from behind the bumper...
I am getting excited to start. The wrap is on order and I am already looking at how to tear everything down. Looks like flares are going to be a pain, taking the handles off, not a pain, but time consuming.
I will start a new thread once I start so that I can get every on film.

Mine work like I have to pretty much stand on them to get them to grab well. It makes sense about the aftermarket brake lines... less expansion. I hate bleeding my brakes... damnit
OK, I am taking the leap and going to wrap my truck myself in a matte black. I found a site to get the wrap for around $500 (3M 1080), I have watched every video on Youtube and I feel it can be done. I got some sample sheets in and did some tests and feel it is doable.
My question is if...
Does anyone else think that they have really "spongey" brakes? I understand all cars are different but I almost seems like air in the lines. I have a 2012 with under 1000 miles on it.
Do you think I should go back the dealership?
The LED strip can be white or amber depending on which wire you hook up.
The picture looks more yellow but it is the same color as the stock lights.
Now what are your thoughts... but don't hold back this time.:waytogo:
You guys are going to tell it straight. I put some LEDs under the lights to see what they would look like. I liked the 2013 pics that had some LEDs under the lights.
It might be too much if I get the LEDs in the Ducati Retrofits too.
What do you think?
I got those exact ones. They are nice. They only thing I wish is that there are snaps on the passenger side. It does slide around a bit. Maybe someone can figure out a way to hold it down.
I just moved all my domains to NameCheap.com. I used to use GoDaddy and Register.com, but after a bunch of research, NameCheap.com is a good place and inexpensive.
"Honey, I was driving down the road and a rock jumped up and hit and smashed my passenger light and then it did JFK magic bullet move and smashed the drivers light." :waytogo:
hmmmm, that might work
58 pages later and I am sold (didn't take me that long) Now I need to figure out how to get these without the wife knowing how much they are.... especially since I have rims, tires, bedtred, access cover, etc on order right now. You know what wives say "don't your headlights work now?
I am...
