Missed the hell out of her! (2nd only to my hot wife).
I am on a 12 day 5 country business trip in Asia.
Let me just say we are lucky!
We fought for it, earned it, and I can't wait to get home!
Gen one is the last of the SVT line!
I am sure gen 2 kicks ass and is technologically advanced (v6 turbo and all) but the gen one 6.2 is a beast that was never supposed to be made.
Someone at the now defunct SVT division had enough wherewithal to fight to get our monsters released. It's an...
Cleaned her up and painted the beauty rings
Poor thing was just beaten down and dirty.
After a 5 day trip in the woods, I came home and washed her up. Went nuts and decided to clean up the scraped up beauty rings and paint them black.
I think I might only enjoy the "e version" of a combustion engines during top gear, a commercial, video or while comparing exhaust notes to decide on next exhaust config.
But if you are driving and listening to it, you better damn well be part of the real thing!
Fire, explosions, and big gulps...
Installed today. Nice and simple.
BUT...
Dumb question, why only on the passenger side?
I assume this is where the most oil splash occurs. I just never see a catch in the driver side breather hose assembly.
Just saw this post. I had the same thing including really poor cold starting. Like a few seconds of cranking. Took it in and they replaced the fuel pump and everything is better now. It was covered under my extended warranty. I am at 55000 miles.
Paid for mine.
Discount as part of the first 15 applied for a nice discount.
In case no one already mentioned it, Jurgernaut is a veteran owned company!
Sold and sold!
Thanks for coordinating MILRTME!
Not too bad if you are ok working on your left rib cage for a long while.
I did it a while back and I remember my whole world opened up after I pulled out the glove box.
One hard part I remember was cutting the damn stickey cloth wire tape off without slashing anything in the bundle.
Then I...
Very bright ones!
Truth be told my KC's only pull about 9amps and some change. But as they are the most commonly used, I chose uplifter one and switched the wires around on the back of the panel on the passenger side to fit my liking.
The 30 amp wiring now powers the compressor.
I no...
Big Job finally done
Thanks to my extensive knowledge of my truck and expert fabrication skills I was able to install my uplifter overlay.
Hope to publish a writeup soon!
Thanks Raptor Custom Embroidery!
Peanut butter mud
Got her stuck by sliding off the road. Got her unstuck with the winch.
It was an E ticket ride down this hill for sure.
Solo recovery is sketchy when but satisfying when it works out.
Chains are my next purchase!
My commute is like fukin Road Warrior.
Yesterday I was almost side swiped by a gravel truck which forced me off the road and in to parallel running train tracks.
If I were to get a beater it would be at least a 1 ton with a Cummins turbo diesel.
Mileage ain't what worries me. It's the...
My question is for anyone that uses their truck as a daily commuter then moves to weekend warrior mode.
Last week I started a new job. It's a bit more of a commute than my 12 SCREW is used to at about 70 miles a day in crappy Silicon Valley traffic.
Then on the weekends I take her on a 240...
