On a whim, I checked the Motorcraft part number for the 6.2 plugs on the Advance Auto Parts website and was seeing prices of only $3.69 per plug (which doesn't include the current 10% off online orders of $30 or more promotion that Advance is currently running).
Couldn't locate the COPs online...
Wow, I read in the part description that it was "custom made" so that probably explains the very high price for that CBR unit; wonder if other companies like Fluidyne might offer an aftermarket solution in the future if there's enough demand - it's nice to have options.
Saw what looked to be a red (Molten Orange maybe?) SCAB parked over at the Country Smoke House up in Almont around lunchtime (if any out-of-towners for Snowball are headed past it, definitely stop in to sample some of the tasty treats there).
Do you have an aftermarket tuner/chip by chance ?
The video you posted isn't playing properly on my end so I can't tell what the truck is doing (ie - completely dead, starting trying to spin up, fuel pump powering up, etc).
I know you said you already replaced fuse #27 once before but I...
Nope, not that I'm aware of - I wouldn't worry about it anyways; just use the remote start feature if you feel so inclined or better yet, just get in the truck and go...
gwpfan - Nice work on discovering that issue with the 13/14 MFT maps; unfortunately I don't think Ford management (probably not the software engineers' fault?) will try to release a fix/patch for this (even if a handful of folks complain - but I hope I'm wrong about that!). If more people...
You talking about the trim pieces OP ? If so, I think you're SOL (seems to be a common interior flaw/problem with the brushed alum interior pieces or whatever Ford uses).
Ouch, I can only imagine what a mess that created ! This is why I enjoy changing the oil on all of my cars/bikes/trucks - know it isn't practical for everyone out there...
Anyways, tell 'em to start scrubbing with some diluted Simple Green and plenty of shop towels/rags.
If they try to...
How does it look (pics?) after hitting it with the wire brush ?
That 2nd pic looked pretty gnarly - did it compromise the integrity of the tire's sidewall or was it only superficial after cleaning it up?
BDRAG - Tell us how you really feel ! :) j/k
The old saying "If you want something done right, do it yourself" seems to apply here. It sounds like you had a lazy tech assigned to work on your truck, what a bummer.
