As far as I’m concerned, I want my stock tune as promised in the selling points of the stage 1 kit article from Whipple . What I do with it is my business.
Whipple tune
Ponder this; everyone that’s running the whipple tune are unbenounce to them test subjects to perfect the tune, that will eventually be used on or offered to the newer raptors from the factory. Just saying. You never know.:favorites13:
Go to data display , then capture disabled, push start button,on the device, go for a hot run , push return button when done. Worked for me! And by the way mine showed knock . I don’t know what the limit is , had a range of 0.5 to 4.0 waiting for a reply from whipple!
I’ve got over 3500 miles on my tune so far and it’s running great. The only thing I MIGHT be getting is a slight detonation under pedal to the metal situations. I am going to do a data log on it and send it to Whipple . It would help if I had an instruction manual how to work the Tomahawk...
Stage 1 updated tune
Is anyone getting possible engine detonation at around 70mph? It happens when I’m gunning it from 0 to 80/100 MPH blasts. It lasts for mere seconds then goes away . Hoping it’s not detonation. I’m running 91 chevron . It’s a California thing.

Stage 1 feedback
With over 2,000 miles on stage 1 kit, truck feels like it’s starting to run even better as miles go on, no problems at all. Now it’s time to add Deavers springs and their bump stops to the equation!:driver:
