Thanks rich. I was going too fast on unknown terrain and hit a washout on the passenger side about 1.5 feet deep. Ripped everything apart. At night.

Lower control arm ball joint. Ripped right out. And that sucker is hard to replace but doable with a BFH and another pair of hands.

BTW - tentatively scheduled for a cab cage dec or Jan. I'm going to have them stub the rear for a future bed cage and bedsides with some sort of LT in the back. Here's a pic of the trailside fix. Longer explanation and some Baja stories later when I hit Denver.

Overdrove my truck deep in the desert of mexico at around race mile 460. Broken knuckle, LCA ball joint, IWE, brake cable, speed sensor and half shaft. Only stock parts broke. I was working the pit with locos mocos and a couple of their fabricators did a crazy awesome job on a trailside fix...

Another great writeup Bird. It's a great opportunity to do shocks and UCAs if you're doing it yourself and have the parts. I did mine in my garage over the course of a couple nights. I didn't use a lift, but I did use two jacks and a couple jack stands.

Loosen and re-tighten the skid plate. Sometimes it can seat wrong and makes weird popping noises especially at slow speeds and light turns. Has happened to me several times on a couple different bumpers.

So sad i missed this, but I had to stay on my budget for Baja in a couple weeks. Spoke to Trey today and he said everything was awesome. Next year I'll try to hit both... Great pics and vids guys.
