BTW - tentatively scheduled for a cab cage dec or Jan. I'm going to have them stub the rear for a future bed cage and bedsides with some sort of LT in the back.
Here's a pic of the trailside fix. Longer explanation and some Baja stories later when I hit Denver.
Thanks Bird. Yeah I commented on that thread right before I left that I was concerned with my knuckles...with all the abuse inflicted and all. Since I'm back to stock knuckles and I learned a ton about how to weld the knuckle to steel using ni-rod and a stick welder (which I own) I may give a...
For now. And a stock LCA ball joint. Just to get back to Colorado and to last me enough time to figure out the best path for future proofing my front end.
Just wait for my Baja 1000 update. Corey and RPG are amazing to their customers and friends.

LOL.
Overdrove my truck deep in the desert of mexico at around race mile 460. Broken knuckle, LCA ball joint, IWE, brake cable, speed sensor and half shaft. Only stock parts broke. I was working the pit with locos mocos and a couple of their fabricators did a crazy awesome job on a trailside fix...
I made a pit stop on my way to the Baja 1000 and spent a lot of the day today hanging around RPG and bugging Corey. I picked up a race line rear with trailer hitch and installed it myself with the help of Corey of course. I have to say this bumper is quality. Even down to the box that holds...
Another great writeup Bird.
It's a great opportunity to do shocks and UCAs if you're doing it yourself and have the parts.
I did mine in my garage over the course of a couple nights. I didn't use a lift, but I did use two jacks and a couple jack stands.
The RPG GPS mount doesn't fit the Lowrance Elite 5 DSi, but I knew that going into the purchase. I use the GPS for my boat as well as offloading in my Raptor, so I knew I'd have to modify RPG's mount and do a cigarette lighter install due to taking it in and out (one day maybe I'll do dedicated...
Great writeup BM. I've been worrying about my knuckles this past year. I think it's time for some gussets. Especially after reading about your woes at Havoc. Thanks.
Loosen and re-tighten the skid plate. Sometimes it can seat wrong and makes weird popping noises especially at slow speeds and light turns. Has happened to me several times on a couple different bumpers.
So sad i missed this, but I had to stay on my budget for Baja in a couple weeks. Spoke to Trey today and he said everything was awesome. Next year I'll try to hit both...
Great pics and vids guys.
