the bolt for the light hit the cab once and put a little nick in the paint. It was on a pretty extreme kicker (for my use) offroad. I grabbed the rubber foot off of an old piece of equipment and screwed it on the back. Tested it on the same kicker and it seemed to work fine. I'll try to get...
Thanks! If you go in the back seat, consider an external speaker mounted under your seat or somewhere under the dash. It'll be hard to hear depending on the station reception and driving situation. I have an external speaker that I'm going to keep in the console for when I need it.
Also...
Slow vehicles in the fast lane tend to get out of the way when they see this coming in the rearview. Got a thumbs up from a trucker last night (bubba army yeah baby).
life is good.
Just a reminder that these lights are the shizzy so far. 7500 miles total and about 150 miles offroad (shock test) and they still light up the night spectacularly.
Sticker is good quality too.
Thanks, Dawson.

Well, got everything mounted and working (other than removing the diodes to transmit on commercial frequencies). I don't like how the bracket turned out, but now that I know what's wrong with it I'll make a new one this weekend and remount. But, it will be in the same place, just a little...
Mid perch may require a camber bolt set. Top perch usually does from what I hear. Some vendors here make them, and Ford sells them. Pretty common. The price seems a little high.
I got free alignments until 12k miles (at a dealership I didn't purchase from).
Good luck.
Love the stage three. You'll hear the bumps hitting more often than you hear the stockers hit. But, that's just them doing their thing. Wait until you feel how soft and road-gripping the rear will be. You'll want to change the front almost immediately. :)
Thanks guys.
Antenna is going to be tricky. I got a long dual band whip for when we're out on trails or road trips. But, that will probably stay apart and under the back seat most of the time. I ended up getting a small whip (interchangeable with the mount/antenna cable I'm making) that...
I have my tried and proven Wouxun KG-UV3D that worked well at TRR, the CO meetup and other runs.
I decided to get a mobile dual band radio. I decided on the Icom ID-880H because of the removable and relocatable controller for the transceiver. I got [what I think was] a good deal on the...
Sounds like dealers are overselling their allocation on 2012's and then making the poor suckers cancel and wait several more months for the 2013.
When ordering, always ask if the dealer has allocation. If they don't, you'll be lucky to get a build out of them...
Agree with everything Greg says. I'm on mid perch with sway delete and national SD springs in the back.
It's hard for me to surf these forums at work now with Greg's sig and avatar. :laughing1:
