I offroad in Colorado with my Bakflip F1 all the time. I even did the Texas Raptor Run with it on and it never once had a problem. That said, I'll probably be taking it off for the longer offroad trips from now on given the bedrack that's coming for those trips.

Did mine to the LED running/clearance lights. The wires are right there. One christmas tree backet to get out for easy solding/splicing. so the LEDs evil eyes come on upon entry/exit, running lights setting, and when the headlights are on.
Ripped mine out. Started getting a bad feeling about it overheating/shorting out/etc and causing major problems. I left the light strips in the vents for a red accent. But, disconnected the transformer and all the wires. Going to need that upfitter switch soon anyway. :893karatesmiley-thu
Yeah, the light it throws is amazing and improves night visibility almost unimaginably until you see it in person compared to stock. Then, the cutoff is just amazing as the above picture shows. I love these lights.
Here's the light side with the rubber foot on it. It's screwed on and there's some good space between the end of the bolt (that poked the cab) and the end of the rubber. That foot is meant to support some heavy networking equipment and is very stiff with some softness.
