My rear blocks from Ready Lift arrived today. They come very nicely boxed, and look great. Since its a balmy 70 degrees out tonight, I decided to throw them on the Raptor. It took about an hour, it's a straight forward job. The contact pad on the Ready Lift blocks are a bit narrower than the...
I have. I have lived in the mountains, and have made several cross country trips in the winter. I found the Toyo's to be fantastic mud and snow tires. They self clean very well, and the side walls themselves can provide some extra bite in snow/mud.
I rotated mine every 5k, and got just over 60k...
It should not be, it maintains the factory bumpstop positions and the factory leafs remain untouched. They advertise these for leveling F150's, especially those that tow often.
Some people cannot fit their Raptor into a garage because of the height, others prefer a level look as opposed to the ass-high factory look. There does seem to be a handling improvement as well, due to the lower center of gravity.
For those interested in lowering the rear of the Raptor, I have found some options. I know some people cannot fit the Raptor in a garage, or just like the look. For whatever reason, it's cool and this info is for you.
Options;
Deaver or National +1 springs. They work great, they are...
I know this thread is a bit old, and you probably are not running this set-up any longer, but I have some questions. With the rear blocks out, did the Fox shocks have enough compression to collapse fully? The 2wd F150's use the same axle, shock mounts, and a similar bump stop arrangement...
Congratulations, no power for four days. Wow! I was in Pennsylvania in 96/97, during a "100" year snow storm. Holy shit, I was snowed in for days. What a white hell that was. The right coast can keep that shit. I hope you don't don't see anymore unusual weather up there!
Congrats on the positive dealer experience. If you need the clearance, lowering shackles are great. They are readily available in 3/4"-2" of drop. Total Chaos makes a very durable 3/4" drop shackle, and Bell Tech makes a 1" and 2" drop shackle. Good luck!
Once it's in the system, it's done. I can see Ford denying the claim. It's an aftermarket part, and a part that was not factory or dealer installed. Ford has no way of knowing the quality of the part or competency of the installer. I'm pretty liberal about aftermarket parts on new vehicles, and...
It's very expensive to update the infrastructure of a city and maintain the equipment needed to deal with a 100 year event. It's completely impractical. I'm sure if they wanted to raise taxes to be prepared for such an event, the citizens would howl in protest.
I live in Ventura County, and that does look like Oxnard. There are lots of Raptors around here, but a black Raptor with hard tonneau cover (bak flip?) might stand out. Is that a 6.2 emblem on the fender?
