I saw this recall on the internet very early on and knew my truck was affected. I have since received the recall notice. My truck will be the only one my dealer has to do, I'm sure... At this point, I'm not sure when I will have it done. Same worries here about headliner removal, etc...
I have an '18 and mine were already showing swirling from careful hand washing and drying. I had XPEL Ultimate PPF applied to them when I had my front end and rocker panels done. Swirls that were already there can't be seen now and the XPEL is self-healing at the swirling level of scratches...
The manual indeed states that they will turn off once you get in and hit the start button. However, in my '18, the driver side seat (and heated steering wheel if cold outside) will stay on after starting - only the passenger will turn off. Have others with '18s noticed this? Wonder if it's...
The porters at my dealership damaged three of my fender flares on my ‘18 with a harsh chemical. I inspected it as it came off the transport truck and they were fine with pictures to prove. I made the mistake of letting them detail it and had to make them replace the three flares. Fortunately...
When I opened up the app, on the main page next to "My Vehicles," it had a little notification that said "Recall Notice." Once you drill down into the Raptor's page, there is a red bar at the top that you press to view the notice. Perhaps yours hasn't been updated yet since this is such a new...
Me too. 7/26 build. Look in your FordPass app and the recall notice is already there.
Recall description: "Roof center bow k-brace rivet installation"
Remedy: "Dealers are to drill and install two rivets on each side of the roof structure following the technical information..."
Check the...
They are all looking the same to me (comparing default values in my 2018 system to what the spreadsheet says). I've successfully changed the following so far: Lincoln style auto fold mirrors and double horn honk disable. For what it's worth, secure idle seems to be already enabled for 2018...
Went and checked it out at my dealers intake lot. Arrived safe and sound with no damage. Very happy with my color choice, appliqué delete and that I chose a SCAB. Take delivery of it tomorrow!!
My 7/26 build SCAB has been received by the transport company and was scheduled to be delivered this past Saturday (8/19). I actually saw that it was dispatched on Saturday using Jack Cooper's tracking app (palsapp.com) and was really excited. However, my dealer has explicit instructions with...
I've been checking the Jack Cooper tracking site daily since I'm 45 minutes from the plant. Last night, the destination city and destination name fields populated. Last week, I was tracking two of my dealer's other Raptors this way and those were delivered the same day the destination info...
crash457's advice is sound, along with several others in this thread. I had a similar situation in 2013 when I purchased a new Honda Accord Coupe. Different caliber of vehicle, but I can attest to how I felt and how it was dealing with the dealer on it.
I got the car home and a few days...
Mine is at the factory awaiting shipment (was released Friday or Saturday). Mine never had an ETA from FP. FWIW, Matt of FP said that many of the Raptors he looks at do not show ETAs even up to the point of being delivered.
If it's in NJ, I bet you get it sooner than 8/23.
Mine was built on 7/26 and I had still been waiting for word on release and shipment as of Friday. My sticker was gone Friday morning and then reappeared later that day. Then I heard on Saturday from my dealer that it had been released and should expect it to ship soon. This probably means there...
I've seen this type of markup on '17s as well at Lasco. A couple months ago they had 3 or 4 '17s on the lot with large (not quite this large) markup as well. Was thinking no wonder they haven't sold them.
My experience was a lot like Frank N's, but with a bit of a larger dealership. My sales guy was/is great and he too introduced me to the IM. Both were very forthcoming with information regarding allocations once they knew I had a clue after reading everything I could on this and other forums...
