That would save quite a few bucks. I would suggest taking a look at that thread to see some of the recommendations I received when I was looking at getting blown ;).
I had a thread a few months ago you might want to check out. I’m on mobile now and don’t know how to link it. Bought a procharger tuner kit and reached out to Livernois to quote the install. They quoted me $10,000 for the install, on top of the $6,500 for the kit. The thread includes what...
I thought supercharging my truck would be $10,000. It’s not. Especially if you have some miles on the clock. Might be more worth it to snag a low mile Whipple or Roush build if you see one.
And I can’t seem to go a day without some sort of cam phaser thread polluting my email…
I have the SVC bumper for a Jen Juan. I live in the rust belt and have some rust starting already (did not linex) that I will be addressing very soon. Another thing to consider is how the bumper attaches to the truck. With the SVC bumper (in my case) the bolts for the power steering rack connect...
I took the hood decal of my truck last year and was very happy with the results. Mine is white, so I didn’t notice any fade or color change. The one thing I would consider is scratches and swirls, but that will come out/even out with a good buff/polish. I’m sure your situation is the same with...
I’m going to see if they can itemize the cost of parts. Labor is labor, I respect that. I just went through the list of OEM parts they had listed and checked Tasca. If you go off the MSRP, all the OEM parts would run about $1,000. If I bought them through Tasca I could pick ‘em up for about...
I’m not turning this into a thread of Gen 1 vs Gen 2. How every post on here devolves into that is beyond me. I wanted a Gen 2, I would have bought one. I’m not throwing shade at Livernois OR Gen 2s, all I’m asking is if the general consensus is the above parts are necessary or HIGHLY recommended.
Unfortunately the cost of the listed items and labor wasn't itemized, they only provided a total cost. I expected the oil pump to be an involved process, but I didn't think the fuel pump, water pump, and 8-rib pully kit were really necessary. While the engine wasn't designed for forced...
All,
Looking to poll the crowd and get a little insight regarding the installation of my Procharger kit. I reached out to Livernois Motorsports to quote the install of my D-1SC tuner kit, which comes with everything minus the fuel injectors and Procharger's tune. When I requested the quote, I...
It’s holding up well. I drove it the first winter but I have it parked this year. There is some slight surface rust starting on the frame/axle components but it is very superficial.
If I could go back, I would do what you’re doing now with the coating. When I bought the truck it was spotless...
I did the same thing in 2020! Bought mine in Arkansas and drove it back to Michigan. I replaced my shocks with a refurbished set around 90,000 miles and noticed a pretty big difference. You should be fine for quite a while if you’re around 50k.
I can’t speak for all states, but this is the case in mine. Most states generally follow the same pattern when it comes to issues like distracted driving.
The distraction may have contributed to the collision, which is why there are boxes for distractions on crash reports, but the collision...
I know most have either done Roush or Whipple. I live in MI, and I plan on going to Livernois for install and dyno tuning. I have done quite a bit of reading on the different systems, but I appreciate your concern.
I called Procharger again and spoke with another tech, who confirmed my order had the HO gear. Apparently the HO kit has a 6-rib set up and a smaller intercooler. The stage II has an 8-rib belt and a larger intercooler. I've been dealing with Chris from Lethal Performance, and he has been...
My Procharger order just came in the other day and I'm worried my order might be wrong after going through the parts. I ordered a stage II tuner kit with the D-1SC through Lethal Performance, which had the following title: "Procharger 1FS301-SCI-6.2 2010-2014 F150 / Raptor 6.2L Stage II...
Whatever route I go I was going to take it to Livernois for tuning. I would also replace the oil pump gears with their billet set and add their thermostat as well.
