Wonder if the used oil is causing the phaser solenoid(s) to stick which is causing the phaser to get stuck in a position. I believe the solenoids have very small screens for the oil to pass through. Maybe fine particles have clogged one up lodging and dislodging affecting the solenoid function...

If I had to guess I'd say Turbo seal. Change the turbo and be done not to terrible of a job to do. And of course this is totally a guess of what was wrong with that truck but Id definitely start there in the diagnoses. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
