It was a couple things for me and admittedly the XL80's put out more forward facing light than the LP4's. However, for me, i have more than enough forward facing white light down the center of the road. Between my Rigid SR-L 20" and properly aimed Morimoto v2 XB LED headlights I'm more than...
You could try either honestly but with how tight the clearances are on the SDHQ mounts i doubt you'd get both to fit unless you went with really thin PPF on the paint and the mount
I realized AFTER i spent all my time taking pics and videos that i should've had the phone sideways for them all to capture just how wide they are. Once i go back and re-do all the pictures and videos ill post more pics that capture the full light better.
I have the SDHQ blinders installed and then added Vivid Air Release Mirror Tint to them which redirects some of the light off the hood. I was persuaded to go with XL-80's but stuck with LP4's and im so glad i did. Here is a poorly taken photo from the sunroof. This is just the LP4's aimed pretty...
I can't speak to the Gen 3 but i have the LP4's on my Gen 2 with SDHQ mounts and they come with a 3M film that you put on the bracket where it is most likely to connect with the paint. This would be something that's easy to replicate just by purchasing some film before you do your install no...
I used 6x cans of AMSOIL HDMP on the underside of my truck during winter prep. I do a lot of driving through the mountains. I'm lucky that they don't use salt or chemicals here but still wanted to help with keeping the underside of the truck rust free. After 5 months of winter driving i can say...
I'm also in the PNW and do a lot of night driving through mountain passes and inclement weather. I recently put a pair of Baja Design LP4 Pro's in Amber Wide Corner/Spot Combo up on SDHQ A-Pillar mounts. I absolutely love these lights for throwing light off to the side and down the road. I have...
Local SCCA Rallycross:
Here is a few GoPro videos from a Rallycross event i took the truck to a few months ago. Overall it was a great event and the "true blood" rally guys were excited to watch the truck go around the track. There was another 2019 Raptor out there which did very well and im...
Here is mine using the kit from SPV. The backlight is tied to AUX 6 with the backlights for the Rigid SR-L 20" w/ Amber Backlight and Baja Designs LP4 Pro Amber Combo.
I have mine wired up to my "backlight switch" on aux 6 which ties together 5 backlight features on various lights. With that switch off, there is no red surround light. You can pick what you tie it to as its a separate wire on the harness.
2018 The Little Raptor That Could - Movie Preview
In an attempt to learn more about video editing i put together this little gem. In the future ill actually be putting together something useful but until then, here's what 30 minutes of messing around with some clips gets you.
Baja Designs LP4 Warranty:
As much as i love these lights its sucks to have to admit that i am going to have to send one of them back already. Since installing my drivers side light i noticed condensation starting to build up inside. I hoped it would go away on its own but sadly it keeps...
Here's a few highlights from pictures last night. Ill have more specific pictures and video walk arounds for most of the upgrades I've done up to this point as well as some night output shots. More to follow...
Thank you very much! Your rig is super impressive and so are the pictures you grab. The license plate gets some laughs around town for sure. A nearby neighbor has a brand new TRX and he always laughs and waves when we see each other driving. The kids think its funny because of the picture of the...
Maintenance Update:
The truck does in fact have the cam phaser rattle and since the TSB didn't work they are replacing the actual hardware. Im pretty nervous to have the work done but i really trust my dealer here. I hope it helps and that its a more long lasting fix. While the truck is in...
Here is mine. Baja Design LP4's. Im so happy with them and they were just what i needed to finish up my lighting set up. Thanks to @4x4TruckLEDs.com for the great customer service and deal. Highly recommend working with them.
Same here, I've run nothing but Rigid for 10 years. I have the SR-L curved bar in my ADD pro bolt on and it does an good job of filling the space. I almost went with the Diode Dynamics lights but just couldn't get myself to gamble on it. I ended up adding Baja Design LP4's and 3 S1's all in...
I could be wrong but i believe its the Diode Dynamics Stage Series bar. I looked at these a lot when i put the last round of lights on the truck but ended up going with Baja Designs. Im pretty intrigued by their lens design though.
On a side note for anyone who watched these videos and has the wastegate or cam phaser rattle, can you tell from the sound in these clips which one it is? Ive had the Cam Phaser Flash TSB performed and all was quiet for a while but after winter hit, this is now a normal sound for me during cold...
Here is a few short video clips of the lights during the day and at night.

AUX Switch Labels:
When i got this final round of lights i knew i was going to re-do all my wiring. With that i could label my switches which was never a super big issue for me but absolutely something my OCD wanted. I used a Cricket label maker to print these out and simply cut the background...
Baja Design LP4 Blinders Mod:
I decided to go a little overboard when it came to using the blinders on the LP4's. I used some VIVID dry release mirror tint to line the inside of the blinders which keep the inside IPT lights from blinding me or the passenger. A key thing with this tint is that...
