I finally discovered what my rattle was. I was missing a brake pad anti rattle clip. The fix was less than $1 and easy to install. So, every time I went over a small bump the brake pad that was missing the clip would rattle. Sanity has returned!
Bviperd, Once you get the coax to the rear passenger door, run it under the carpet to the back of the center console. Then remove the cup holders by pulling up on them, that should reveal a couple of screws. Take out the screws and remove the outside back panel of the center console. At this...
I do have a VHF race radio mounted in the center console. I remove the antenna and put the cap on while in the garage. The GJ did not come with the cap, I purchased it separately from Amazon.
I did not buy the kit, I did however install the S2s in my bumper. I went with amber driving combo and they are perfect. I will admit I also bought the GJ 3rd Brake light with the amber wide cornering on the outside and the clear work/scene in the center. I’m very happy with the combination.
I have a set of 2018 shocks with about 2800 miles on them sitting in my garage if you’re interested. I bought the Fox Racing shocks, otherwise I would be selling them. PM me if interested.
Installed one today. I went with all S2s with a clear work light in the middle and amber wide cornering on the outside. All I can say is OUTSTANDING!! I was originally going to get the Pros, but am glad I went with the Sports.
I do wish GJ included install instructions. Big Blue thanks for...
I do. It’s definitely a different sound than the bypass valve(s) opening/closing on the rears. I forgot to mention I have approx. 22K miles and about 18 month on the shocks. Also, about 10K of those are off-road miles in Baja.
Looking for some help/advice. I have the Fox 3.0 shocks and Camburg UCA. There is a very annoying rattle coming from the front driver’s side. Whenever I drive over the reflective bumps on the road it rattles like a can with rocks inside. It’s really bad when drive over the stutter bumps...
Although I have not specifically checked at 2/3 of full compression, I can tell you I have worked my RPG/Fox 2.5” bump stops for about 10K miles of off-roading in Baja without any issues, which does include a lot of airtime :)
I run about 30 PSI and leave it in the Snow/Mud mode. That has worked best for me. The Raptor with the KO2s does a great job up here. I must have passed 50 vehicles on my way up the hill on Thanksgiving.
I leave the wipers up out of habit to ensure they aren’t frozen to the windshield in the...
If you are anywhere near Orange County give Baja HQ a call. The shop is owned by Cameron Steele (TT #16) and other Off-road racers/enthusiasts that specialize in Raptors. All their chase trucks and tow vehicles are either Raptors or F350s. Great crew to work with!!
I have ran 5 gallons of E85 in a full tank of 91 on MAP 5 and she is FAST! I have nothing to compare it to, but I was very impressed. The JB4 is well worth the money as a piggyback tuner. I also recommend the Bluetooth module.
I’ve had one installed for a few months without any issues. Living in CA and only having 91 octane available, I usually run on Map 1 or 2. There is a noticeable increase in power. I would recommend it if you want a plug in play module. The Bluetooth option is handy to keep an eye on things.
