Anyone have a good Gen1 bumper?

When you say repainted, did you have it done to the OEM color, or another color?

WTB - Fitment to 2014 - OEM Front Bumper (Must be in Good Shape)

Looking to buy a front bumper for my 2014. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2011-2014 all share the same OEM front bumper, all made the same color, is that correct? Mine has some odd staining from when I bought it and took a huge rock a couple weeks back, and as such I'm looking to...

    Block heater cord

Thank you. When it warms up in a couple days I’ll take a look for that connector.

    Block heater cord

Question for you guys. My 2014 has a block heater, and the cord with plug is sitting inside the front bumper. Given how cold it’s been in PA these last couple weeks, I would like to use it. However, I can’t seem to get the plug head through the hole in the bumper. Is there a specific way to...

    Rear Sliding Window Rattling/Vibrating

I think the shattering is pretty consistent with what happens to SUVs all the time during the winter. My only issue with the rear window is the occasional squeak as it moves across the track. I have already tried silicone spray and it hasn't helped it at all. the window doesn't struggle...

Towing a racecar, trailer options on a budget

The best answer here is the Raptor is not the right truck to do this. Get a F250 diesel or something. That is how you tow a box trailer, and this is coming from many miles of towing a race car. We had a gas motor truck, 30’ box trailer, tube chassis race car. Thousands of miles which wore...

GEN 1 2nd ESP Warranty Purchased!!!

When I bought mine I bought the ESP through 5yrs/100k, which I'll probably hit 100k right around 2022. Cost me $2k. While I'm usually not a fan of these, its nice to know that any issue with the truck only costs me $100 to fix.

    Ford Performance Diff Cover

How has it held up with road salt during winter? ---------- Post added at 07:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:51 PM ---------- Diff cooler? I was unaware we had one?

Ah. Cast iron. That sucker will rust. There are better aluminum options.

    Hold out for V8?

I intentionally bought a used 2014 to make sure I got the V8. While its certainly faster, I couldn't get over how terrible the v6 sounds. Like, Ford couldn't even make it sound GT-R like, or something aggressive. I had a 2018 drive by me recently, and the sound that came from the pipes made me...

Throw back Thursday Upgraded Raptor camshafts

Must have been a baby cam, because I have a BTR Stage 4 cam, ported heads, and intake manifold and got almost 100hp in my LS3. Anything less than 50hp gain from a cam alone isn't worth it IMO. Not for the amount of "tear down" you have to do.

That revive says it will gloss tho, which would defeat the purpose of protecting the matte. Am I wrong?

    Raptor Fog lights

Is there any disadvantage of looking at the D-Series PRO? Also, they claim to provide all wiring required, is this everything I'd need to hook them up to an aux switch? And do people typically connect the whites onto 1 switch, and the yellows onto another? Also, is there a writeup anywhere on...

Black Hood decal and side decal cleaning

AdamsPolishes I used the Adams H2O not that long ago on my hood vinyl and was floored at the amount of contamination it pulled off even after I washed the truck. It restored the matte finish and made it even across the hood. Now, does that work as a protectant during the winter as well?

People not recognizing truck size at Night

Maybe its the people I drive around then. Its unbias as to the type of car/truck whatever. Just uncomfortably close at night. I know for myself with my Camaro, I do everything I can to avoid a Raptor, those tires are just begging to throw a rock.

People not recognizing truck size at Night

Is it just my luck, or have the rest of you noticed that people seem to not understand how wide the truck is at night? I drive backroads to work and in the dark, in the morning, people cut abnormally close to me when going the other way. However, during the day, people give me MORE room than...

    First SVT (test) drive

Mine has 28k miles on it, brakes are relatively new, and I'll agree, its very heavy to stop. It actually took me a few times to adjust to how much more room it requires to stop. Will probably go with a set of R1s after this set is shot. The transmission does have a slight mind of its own and...

What did u do to your raptor today?

I installed mine a couple weeks back as well. I took a tape measure, a level, some double sided tape, and a helpful wife. I double side tapped the flap into place, took measurements on it, confirmed level, drove in screws. It required me to have the wheel full left to get some screws on...

    Factory Flare Color

There are actually 2 different parts numbers, depending if you want unfinished or gray painted. So be careful that you get the right one. When I bought mine, as part of the agreement, the dealership replaced all 4 and I had to make sure they got the right part number.
