if this were the case 6100 and TT class trucks wouldn't run 39s/40s. there's no "upgrades" they've simply tuned the same 3.1 Fox to accommodate 37s, this beats having a shock tuner dial it in for you, which is difficult when most are out west.
Yes this is the first OEM truck to receive 37s...
2 biggest problems with the 14 Gen F150/ Gen 3 Raptor are the shifter and the mirrors. The shifter doesn't feel quality at all and with its built in fold down mode I see it breaking in no time. As for the mirrors I constantly found myself looking down into them, just an odd/ uncomfortable...
I just looked and Ford states the Gen 3 Raptor on 35s weighs 5740 and 5886 on 37s.
A Gen 2 Raptor Screw weighs 5684 (per C&D)
So I guess the Gen 3 is heavier lol.
Id think the Gen 3 rear suspension would be slightly heavier. I don't know Gen 2 OEM leaf spring shipping weights but deavers leafs weigh 210 lbs (per RPG site).
Let's just say OEM is roughly 180lbs being less leafs. With the Gen 3 having coils, 4 link and pan hard would equal more than...
Luxury Tax starts in January so I see Raptor sales in Canada slowing down a bit lol. Now the big question.. which I'm sure @CoronaRaptor can answer since BC has the lux tax is, does it apply to the vehicle before or after you put a down payment? I'd hope that if I put 25k down so I'm financing...
That is promising! Means it should be there soon. I was at Woodridge Ford in Calgary today and I was told there will be a 4 door there for a private event for the dealer... Hopefully I can get a peak at it lol.
Their first order is supposed to land in 3 weeks.
@RCS yeah Orders aren't open in Alberta either, earliest I've heard is month end.
My 13 Gen 1 listed out at 64k CAD and my Gen 2 in 17 was 87K. Now we're seeing 110k. I guess if you bought a 19 or 20 802A for mid 90s then a 10k bump doesn't seem too bad. Me? I'm not so sure lol.
Just curious who out there has driven the Gen 14 F150 and what are your overall impressions? I'd think some of you would want sit in and drive a new F150 to see what the next Gen is all about.
Out of everything thats different, from the more flimsy shifter to the in your face 12 in screen. My...
from what I've been told it's extremely difficult since the 37s are in high demand, plus not all dealers got allocations to both 35 and 37 trucks. a lot of dealers were only given the ability to order 35s. Your best bet is to call every dealer in your area and ask them what they're able to get...
maybe we will see Ford change their tune by giving it a slight bump before deliveries happen, at least we can hope. and realistically they should because I see the flip side to this situtation every single time a new 911/GT3/RS car gets released, everyone loves how Porsche has pushed the...
I've owned both and honestly it's a toss up. I constantly see people posting, "blah blah Gen 2 is better" or "V8 or nothing" from Gen 1 guys.. both are great in their own right.
I don't really read many posts on the Gen 2 section to know what you really do with your truck, so I can't say one...
109k+ HST and the new Luxury Tax in Ontario... thats 13 and 10% so 134k CAD LOL ouch.
I'm just hopeful a 37, no panoroof, no power tailgate which is 79k US stays under 100k so I don't pay that lux tax.
I got a call from Advantage Ford and was told, they were supposed to get the largest allocation of 25 trucks but nothing was set in stone. They also said more than likely Gen 3s coming to Canada will all be MY22, no 21s.
I'm glad someone posted about this because I've been thinking about it since the B&P went live.
I'm honestly not bothered that Ford didn't increase the HP or TQ. While I thought/wanted Ford to give the EcoBoost a slight bump, it's not surprising they didn't. Seems they're following the same...
No problem, it definitely is nice. I like it more than than the fixed up right ones because you don't permanently lose that view across your dash/hood when not off roading.
