You're definitely more likely to get an order at MSRP, but there aren't a lot of dealers selling stock units at MSRP. They definitely don't go for that here in Texas. I ordered one at MSRP, but it seems like the going price here in Texas is about $20k over. Some dealers sell at $10k over, and...
Look, I am against paying ADM period, and I would not personally do it. However, everyone's circumstances can dictate different outcomes. $7k over is reasonable - more in the sense that it's not a grotesque abuse of your wallet or what I would consider to be price gouging. It's roughly 10% of...
I understand where you are coming from, but there's no harm in seeing if they grow on you after you take delivery. I had a '21 (35") that came with graphics (stock order at a dealer that charged MSRP), and I left them on for about 6 weeks before making a final decision. I ended up removing...
It's really tough to say when a '23 order will hit the ground. I do agree delivery of a recent or current day order of a '23 is somewhat of a crapshoot. There were a LOT of '22s delivered before others received their '21s. So even though there are a lot of 'leftover' '22s to build, they won't...
For some reason I thought last week was - I may have my dates wrong on the '22s though. The first date for scheduling of the '23s is supposed to be 8/18/22, so maybe that is why I thought there was no more scheduling for '22s...
I hope for your sake that it comes sooner rather than later! I will be in the same boat at some point with my '23.
I was very fortunate when I bought my '21. I found an incoming stock unit at a dealer who sold it to me for exactly MSRP. I only had to wait about 3 weeks for it to arrive. I...
A used truck for $20k over the original MSRP isn't a good move... Hard pass on this truck.
I am against paying over MSRP even for a new one, but if you had to choose, pay over MSRP for a new one. If you get a '22 or even wait for a '23, you're looking at trucks that are 1-2 years newer (in...
This varies from a couple of weeks to a few months. There's no way to predict when it will be ready to ship since we don't know what the chip supply or replenishment looks like on Ford's end.
Be patient and wait for the right deal on a new one. I know they don't make Leadfoot anymore, but a '23 in Avalanche would be a good substitute. Or, like you said, find a CO.
Even if you had to pay $10k over MSRP for a new one, that is still a better deal than a preowned '21 that's well over...
They can still place the order. I got my order confirmation (email) from Ford when I placed the order - don't recall which day though - either 7/19 or 7/20.
I know that doesn't guarantee an allocation or anything related to delivery, but it does mean that Ford recognized receipt of the order...
There's only one date for the order banks. It's possible they don't have an allocation, but the 2023 F150 order bank (including Raptor) opened on 7/18.
I used a Blend Mount as well. It seems to be the best option. I wired mine to the AUX switches though - then I just just flipped the corresponding switch when I wanted the radar detector on or off.
Nice! That gives me hope that I'll see my check soon. IIRC, I put my letter and supporting documentation in the mail mid-June - maybe the 17th or so...
Agreed. See if you can find another dealer.
I am assuming my dealer will have an allocation... They are a top 5 volume dealer in the nation basically every year - maybe for the last 20 anyway. I did not specifically ask about an allocation, but I was the first retail '23 order for them. If...
Try Bill Utter in Denton. I was told by my salesman they would do an order at MSRP, but I didn’t end up using them for my order, though I have bought other vehicles from them (recently a Tremor and an Explorer ST)
I ordered a 37pp from another large dealer in DFW because I have a contact there...
“Limited”, sure. Early estimates are that there will be almost 3000 Raptor Rs built for 2023. That’s far more than I anticipated, so I guess it really depends on your definition of limited. I don’t have the estimated production numbers for all of ‘23 in front of me at the moment, but I think...
It’s a waiting game now. Even if you ordered the first ‘23 and your dealer had an allocation, you probably won’t get scheduled with a production date right away. Ford still has to balance out and resolve all the ‘22s that weren’t produced.
You can always reach out to Ford Performance for...
Both, technically. Those dates are for the DTP (Dearborn Truck Plant) which produces Raptors and F150s. The dates for the KC Plant are 9/15 and 10/31 for scheduling and production. The KC Plant produces F150s, but I do not believe they build any Raptors.
Agreed. I'd be happy to get one for $15k over, but I simply can't justify buying an R, nor do I have that burning desire anyway. You're also correct in your assessment that the whiners weren't buyers anyway.
I'll be happy enough when my 37pp comes in for MSRP!
No worries - and I didn't mean to sound harsh, so my apologies as well. I was actually attempting to make the DIRECT correlation between the ZR1 and Raptor R. Supercharged V8s with nearly identical production numbers and MSRPs - both of which may be the swan song of their respective model...
