It is LEGAL to own and install offroad lights to any vehicle. It's only ILLEGAL when you use them on road. This is just fords legal way of covering their butts
Ran them on my old lifted f150 (non raptor). Tires are pretty darn near bulletproof and handle offroad very well. Road noise is quiet too so an all around great tire. The postal service even uses these tires (obviously without kevlar) cause they handle heavy loads, go off road, and last a decent...
Hard to say but I'd put a pretty sizable bet it was a knob otherwise one would tap into the switches overhead. Couple comments here are pretty good but radar detector, sound boost, or engine management control would be all my guesses.
My left middle bed bolt likes to spin even with the nut and clip in the proper location. Ended up using a rubber mallet, couple medium wacks and she was able to thread.
Edit: btw the original bed bolts are 1 time use. Should be replacing them every time you take off your rack. Highly recommend...
Depends on what you're using it for. To keep dirt or dust off or to reduce uv exposure: Cheaper option would be a truck cover
Trying to prevent hail damage? I'd recommend the hail protector car cover. Works extremely well but it has to be prepared before any storm unless you leave it on.
Other...
The raptor is plenty capable for what is actually is: a dessert runner. Tbh I'm actually surprised the load rating isnt even lower but that's fords engineering for ya. The current specs allows anyone to pull a small camper, boat, or offroad trailer and still have room to boot.
You got 3 options
First is a spot repray which will mostly prevent all the issues you're concerned about but it's very noticable and tacky looking on these awesome trucks
Second is to get the whole bed relined so it looks like the way it did from factory
Last option is to cut away completely...
The only leaking problem I had was when the roof got replaced from hail and the seal on the rear windshield had a pin size hole in the seal. Had it fixed for free and they started the seal on the bottom so it will never leak again (should have been done like this in the first place)...
Wheel bearing or IWE. This is a huge guess as it would greatly help if you had a vid or sound clip. Noise while turning left would make me think it's the passenger front wheel bearing.
Yeah... that's a hard no for me. Paint correction isnt cheap and theres no harm in waiting until after you get off the trail. I prefer my raptor dirty in pictures so everyone knows it's not a small crawler
Dang that's nuts! I just recently got stuck in a rock garden (exploring new trails) and managed to get it out but not without bending up the exhaust like twizzlers. Got a pretty good ding but nothing like what you got here. To be honest I'm surprised the damage isnt a lot worse in your case...
Stock raptors come out of the factory with 450hp. Including your tune math, that's still 200hp less than the 750hp motor they stick in the gt500s. Not to mention that vehicle is purely setup as rear wheel drive (no transfer case) and is a much easier platform to handle power. But hey if you...
As eric mentioned, it's not the powerplant but all the other supporting parts that get the power to the ground. The wheels and tires on a raptor are considerably heavier than those found on mustang. This introduced more torque to anything and everything between the wheel and motor (axles, half...
Who needs front sensors when you have cameras?? Haha but seriously the only few things making me consider upgrading is the 5 link rear, 37 inches from factory, and high used car prices make it tempting. I definitely wont be buying the first year of the new generation but maybe a year or 2 after...
I would try Adam's rubber cleaner as that stuff is pretty good but I'm gonna agree with most on here, looks like its worn down and needs to be replaced.
My truck came with the factory bed liner directly from ford. The liner is definitely adequate but not as tough as line x. Bolts will be sprayed over but this is only an issue if you plan on installing any racks or braces/supports that utilize the factory bed bolts.
Factory beadlocks are expensive!!! I went to the dealership for the 2017-2018 version
With beauty ring, they quoted me $1,367 per wheel. Insane! Managed to scoop one off on ebay with minor barrel cosmetic damage from tire dismounting for $375. Since I'm using mine as a 2nd spare (6th wheel) it...
When I was looking for my raptor I knew I wanted it fully loaded (didnt care for ricaros). Found my 2018 slightly used at 16k miles and fully loaded. I love my panoramic sun roof (having issues forgetting to close it when parked) and the torsen front diff is a must if you want to use anywhere...
A differential rebuilt is not something amateurs can handle without proper tools and knowledge. Typical differential pinion gears use crush sleeve bearings that are one time install. Improper crush sleeve size can make improper contact with the ring gear and will likely destroy the ring and/or...
Damn dude that sucks. Water damage will almost always total a vehicle because all the electronics will essentially need to be replaced. Hindsight is always 20/20 but always get out and walk the path if any uncertainty exists. For water crossings, dont be afraid to get wet and walk it otherwise...
