I also had issues with all of the flares on my 22. I just polished them out tonight and they look great! Looks like I polished off almost all of the paint drip-looking issues!
CO is a very bright color, and fits the Raptor very well. I decided to go with Atlas Blue on my ‘22 to be a little more subtle. I own a construction company, and didn’t want to be the guy showing up in the brightest/flashiest truck around.
A guy in town has a CO 37 with the graphics pckg and it...
Yeah. Mine noise was clearly coming from the exhaust valve. I even climbed under the truck to hear it more clearly.
Maybe you should open the hood and record, as you move your phone around the engine bay. You should be able to hear the noise get louder, as you pass by that part of the engine...
I read on the other thread that is was just exhaust valve springs that were supposedly replaced. Maybe they ordered replacement valves that have the same issue (built with the weaker springs). Anyone else, please post the part numbers that were used for the fix. I may have to order the parts...
Any of you that have had the rattle fixed with the TSB, please post a pic of your receipts or the part numbers needed for the fix! My dealer says they can’t order parts for a TSB that they can’t find on Oasis… I still have my valves unplugged, but would love the have the exhaust working properly...
OP said he was on a road trip. Was there any luggage or extra weight in the bed? My toolbox was enough to get flashed by everyone. I adjusted the headlights down (about 2” on my garage wall from 30’ away. That worked! No more flashing headlights and I see great at night!
You have to quickly get off the throttle while in higher boost to really hear anything. My 2019 seemed more audible than my 22. Do this while under load (driving), not sitting in neutral. You should def hear something! Try a third gear pull. Manually select third, accelerate to build boost and...
I had 5 Star tuning on my last truck (2019 Lariat 3.5EB). Tune was great and truck ran awesome! Only problem, was when I went to trade the truck in on my 22 Raptor, the tuner errored out and I could not return to stock. Did all the software updates, didn’t work. Contacted them a few times, got a...
I can tell you first hand, as I have a 22 Raptor and my father has a 22 Tundra Capstone.
When we picked up his truck, I instantly noticed how cheap and flimsy ALL of the metal and plastics were on the Tundra. Ride quality was average and the seats were very stiff/uncomfortable for the four hour...
No. I tried that first. The valves seemed to shut under hard acceleration. I plugged them back in, initially, then unplugged them while the truck was NOT running. Sounds much better and the valves sound like they are staying in that position! Ill try to attach a video…
I had the air lift inside coil bags with the small onboard compressor on a previous truck (Ram 1500). They worked great! Kept them aired down for daily commuting, then just aired them up, right before a load of lumber was dropped into the bed or a trailer was hooked up.
I would get them for my...
Been driving on the Livernois 93 tune for the past 6 weeks now. Still very happy with it! Noticed a slight bump in MPG, but could just be the cooler weather reflecting such (not using the AC much at all). Tho, I believe the tune is still achieving better MPG’s. Maybe an extra 1 MPG…Sitting right...
Def looks sus…
the mirrors appear to be chrome to me. Suggests it could just be a reg f150 with a grill and bumper. Funny, the white DRL’s and missing amber grill lights make the grill look smaller to me…
Had my exhaust unplugged all week. Still sounds good. Cold starts are a bit louder, but still acceptable for neighborhoods. Idle stutter when stopped and in drive is significantly less. The plugs are easy to reach. They are right on top of the muffler. All you need to do is slide the white clip...
Mine did the same thing in the same spot as well. I noticed it in a lightly used 2021. Mine started showing the crease around 1500 miles...the price you pay for riding around on what feels like your living room sofa, I suppose:hidesbehindsofa:
I tried it again today. The truck had been sitting for a little while. I unplugged the harnesses and ran some errands. They seem to be staying more open now! Previously, I had unplugged them while the truck was running. It sounds pretty close to “sport” mode, now! Even under hard acceleration. I...
I unplugged my exhaust valve harnesses today. The rattle went away completely. It could be a temp solution until a real fix is made. I plugged them back in, however, as the exhaust got VERY quiet when accelerating hard, and I was a little concerned that the valves could be possibly closing too...
So…I unplugged the wiring harnesses from both exhaust valves today. Truck started up with no rattles several times throughout the day. The exhaust was stuck in whatever mode it defaults to when the truck is shut off. These valves are more active than I imagined. The truck now sounds like it’s in...
I noticed on cold starts, that when I barely press on the gas pedal (not even enough to raise RPM’s), the exhaust sound changes and the rattle sound goes away. I think I hear the exhaust flaps move, mechanically. The computer in the trucks must be doing something to the valves. I may try to have...
Mine ghost wipe maybe once or twice a day. But, I start and stop my truck at least a dozen times each day (traveling from office, to site, to supplier, back to another site, etc).
I normally just turn them completely off, except when I forget to, after a rain.…then they simply remind me that I...
Finally installed my Livernois tune tonight! Pretty big difference IMO. The TC kicks in now and kills power when accelerating hard (That didn’t happen before). I turned Advance Track off by holding down the button for a few seconds and spun both rear tires (35x12.50’s) all the way through 2nd...
