My 68 Cadillac used to get a lot of attention. Too much, I guess...someone stole it about 10 years ago.
Yes, I ordered a pack of 4 screws from the dealer yesterday. I hadn't know that the mudflaps were accessories and not stock. Thanks for the Weathertec link too.
Does anyone else have a better method of finding part numbers? Ford's page https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/parts/2010/ford/f-150 is the worst I've tried to use since the internet became a thing.
My latest search is for the torx head bolts which secure the tie down brackets to the bedsides...
The warning light would bother me.
It is nice to have, especially in cold climates. The other day I had one indicate low pressure because of the cold and was able to address it quickly. I suppose if I had the tool (or if this type can be activated by the airing out method), then I could...
Getting ready to rubber up a new set of the OEM Gen 1 beadlock (capable) wheels. The original Ford part number for a 2010 TPMS appears to be 9L3Z-1A189-A.
1. Is this correct?
2. When I search this I get a ton of results for other genuine Ford part numbers. Are these superseded/compatible?
3...
I think you mean BST, but saying they won't take the torque is absurd. They can take plenty--they're even OEM on the new Ducati VA Superleggera (235hp). The H2/H2R are motorcycling footnotes.
I've had carbon fiber wheels from both BST and Dymag and never any issues.
I've got a lot of experience with carbon fiber through motorcycles, including structural pieces like this CF swingarm.
Dymag2 by Adam Miller posted Jan 16, 2020 at 10:05 AM
Some of you have serious misconceptions about the properties of carbon fiber. It would be far stronger and stresses like landing jumps would not be an issue at all--that stuff is right in CF's wheelhouse. However, that doesn't make it a good candidate for a frame. Areas for mounting pieces...
So three weeks after I bought this pristine truck, a woman switched lanes into the side of me. My running board took the worst of it (tore the hell out of her front wheel and fender). Her mirror scuffed my passenger rear fender flare and a little around it. I already replaced the running...
These SVT beadlock-capable rims, when used conventionally, mounts each bead/sidewall inside of the rim lips. When used as a true beadlock wheel, the inner sidewall is positioned normally but the outer sidewall now sits OUTSIDE the wheel lip (in the area where the old beauty ring was). Then the...
That's an ex Jimmy Adamo/Reno Leoni 851. Was a basketcase when I got it though, and original motor had been blown up long ago. Has a built 996 in it now.
That's a Honda Dominator (NX650), which is my Scrambler project. The whole rear subframe is new, new rims laced to stock hubs, aluminum fuel tank, flatslide carb, Ohlins shock, and I installed an Andreani cartridge kit in the forks.
I have a Leer 1 piece tonneau and carpeting.
For camping and trips I think I'll get a couple of military or Pelican footlockers and then maybe fabricate something to hold them in place--perhaps to the side so I can still get a motorcycle back there if I want, maybe some RotoPax too. This...
It's not a massive amount of cargo space I need. It was nice to be able to put luggage or a grill or things like that in a lockable partition where they wouldn't slide around. And you can put a full size spare in the Ridgeline's trunk (at least the first generation). That said, I knew this...
