LMFAO... Thanks for that Ruger. I needed a good laugh :ROFLJest: Now the PIAA part I agree with. ---------- Post added at 01:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:42 PM ---------- Yeah my white Duallys are obnoxious to oncoming traffic. So the D2s are gonna be twice as bright.

    HIDs versus OEM headlights

I have the DDM slim kit on my Raptor (which takes too long to warm up) I had the DDM Raptor 55watt ballasts in my FJ which warmed up much quicker. I don't remember seeing any branding. The housings, wires, and connectors look the same as what is on retro solutions site. They also look the same...

    HIDs versus OEM headlights

That stuff looks identical to the DDM 55watt stuff except with different stickers. My guess is it comes from the same warehouse in China. The fancy case it comes in is kinda cool though!

    Rigid Industries FTW!

I'm extremely happy with my Rigid Dually Product. That's why I started this thread! IMO Its ok for M&R to stick their heads in. Its just Business! They are trying to compete which always good for the consumer.

    Rigid Industries FTW!

I bought a $90 US made wood rack (for stacking fire wood outside my house) It's made of fairly thin tube metal and the paint was rough textured (and peeling already) it also did not have bracing to keep the two half's from separating at the bottom. When I bought it I thought, well its expensive...

    Lighter power?

You could switch the lighter though a relay I guess. Thats way more of a pain in the ass than just hardwiring the radar detector to the accessory circuit.

    Cheap Light Mount

Nice I love mods like that. How thick was that steel you used to back up the bumper?

    HIDs versus OEM headlights

All cheap HID bulbs are technically rated for 35 Watt. You over power them with a 55 or 70 watt ballast and that makes the xenon-arc inside them brighter. I went with 35 watt ballasts because I was worried about scattered light in the reflector housing. They are still ~3x brighter than stock...

    Rigid Industries FTW!

Yeah it turns out there are lots of Chinese products out there that are higher quality than their more expensive US made counterparts. I'm not saying that's true in this case but it is in a lot of products I've seen lately.

    Navigation Screen-adding photos

Is it just me or is it f**king lame you can't do it off of a USB drive? You can't copy music to your jukebox either off the USB. Thanks a lot Microsoft.

    HIDs versus OEM headlights

Well I got the H13 Hi/Lo from DDM tuning for mine. DDM finally stepped up and replaced the wrong bulbs they sent so I guess I can recommend them. They do lifetime warranty their stuff. You could try the MaxCar that BigBlue recommended. Just make sure the part # you get will fit the H13...

    Daily Driving Foglights

I use the Amber Flood Duallys as driving lights. They don't blind people and greatly increase visibility.

What oil? - The one and only oil thread

I've read that most people who have sent oil off to get an oil analysis done after changing say that the Mobil 1 Filters and K&N Filters (same assembly plant) do the best job of filtering. Something like 99.7% at 20 micron. The worst job goes to 94% at 30 micron for a standard Fram filter...

    Bully dog or superchip?

    HIDs versus OEM headlights

Heres a 2008 Volvo S60R headlight. It uses a D2R reflector housing HID bulb. I owned a 2006 S60R and the cutoff was outstanding. Better than most projectors I've seen. Volvo/Hella doesn't mess around with lights. All that being said most stock reflector halogen headlights aren't designed for...

100 watt halogens might melt your headlight housing if you are thinking of just replacing the stock H13s.

Nope I decided I wanted a Raptor and went down to the dealership and bought a fully loaded Red SCrew. Exactly like I would have ordered it!
