Its the difference in air density that causes diminished levels of oxygen at higher altitudes. Oxygen makes up about 21% of Dry Air so with less density we have less oxygen. Also since the air is less dense up here the ability of the air to remove heat is less. That means not only do we get less...
I don't trust the Viper dealers to install them correctly. I also don't want 20 3M scotchlok connectors cutting 1/2 way through the wires on my harness. I'd go with Ford.
Then how come my truck runs better with more oxygen at sea level? The laws of physics and fluid dynamics tell us CAI allows more air and therefore oxygen into the cylinders. :signs6:
Wrong. Study the Hagen–Poiseuille and Navier–Stokes equations.
No such thing as "peak potential flow rate". Google it.
The difference in engine output at low RPMs may be small because the restriction has less effect at lower flow rates but it is still there. Also valves, heads, intake...
I think Rigid should carefully examine all of their suppliers production processes to guarantee quality. We should also make sure they are using certified materials and require them to provide Quality Assurance paper work on every product we buy. This is what is done at nuclear facilities where...
^^^ Awesome

As far as the intake is concerned, lets look at the givens of the problem:
1. Restrictions cause a pressure drop. (see the Poiseuille Equation if you believe this not to be true)
2. If you assume that the CAI offers less restriction than the stock...
What you said is true if the computer does not adjust for the increased amount of air.
Stoichiometry describes the chemical reaction in a quantitative way and lets you know the amount of excess and limiting reagents. However if you increase the amount of the reagents proportionally (keeping...
Oh man that blows! I hate other people touching my truck. Unfortunately most people (myself included) don't have access to a tire mounting and balancing machine. I don't even see how they could have done that. The guy with the impact wrench must have been drunk...
I have the linex and haven't seen a better product. If the fade bothers you, get the premium linex for another $100. I had the Bedrug and liked it a lot too. I will probably end up getting the bed-mat for when I want to carry furniture and such.
2004-2014 Ford F-150 Carpet Bed Liners - BedRug...
It probably runs hot because of that huge intercooler in the way of the airflow...

Everything in a fluid system adds some restriction (resistance to flow). If the restriction added by the...
I can't believe a bigger cooler doesn't fit here... Seriously WTF. If Ford doesn't make it I'm surprised someone else doesn't. I'd manufacture them and make a killing if I could. Who wouldn't want an easy plug and play larger transmission cooler?

I have that same cheap drain pan and I've never had oil spill over. You have to take that little plug completely out an pop the vent open. I've drained my 7.3 Powerstroke, Raptor, FJ, 6.7 Powerstroke, and never had any issues. I change my oil with the engine at operating temp too.
Those look pretty cool but I'd want to see pictures of headlight output. It seems like the bulbs wouldn't emit light very evenly. Maybe the reflector housing can even it out. 2000 Lumens is twice that of a silver-star H13. Those have a fan too which is scary. I doubt the fan life is 30000 hours...
I know a guy here in town that paid 70k for his raptor. He is the president of a large local bank. Didn't matter to him. He bought what he wanted at a price he was OK with. Shame on him for being uninformed and allowing the dealer to charge a large markup.
I really can't blame the dealer...
