In a few weeks I'll be removing the stock Gen 3 Live Valve shocks from my 23 R and replacing with Fox Race Series live valve.
Wondering if someone could use these take offs with an ECLIK on an non-Live Valve Raptor?
What would it take, just the ECLIK and my take offs? Or is there a set of...
On my 23 R, I decided to add Foutz air bumps on all 4 corners with Foutz UCA at the same time as I swap the shocks for the race series.
May have to swap resevoir lines to fit it all in. Sounds like Fox has optional longer hoses but won't know if needed until we get into it.
Keeping it stock...
I'm on my 3rd Raptor and have a house in Baja and am involved in off road racing. My Raptors see a TON of off road miles in Baja and the step in the tailgate has never been an issue. Of course the Raptor is not a prerunner and I don't use it as such but it goes to the most remote pits and sees...
I did not want the sunroof on my Raptor R which means the tailgate has no step. Stupid of Ford. Anyway will any 21+ F150 tailgate that has step, pushbutton/remote release and camera fit the 23 Raptor R? For general F150, which models had all those features? Like only Lariat and above or ...
You just need a relay that has both a NC (Normally Closed) and a NO (Normally Open) pin. Connect the off road lights to the NC if you want them on when the relay is not energized. Then when energized (fogs on), the off road lights go off. If you use the NO pin then it would behave like a...
If factory fogs are not halogen then what are they? I threw mine away after replacing with BD so I can't look at them to see.
Anyway the point is the fogs are not controlled with the CAN Bus like the headlights are and so that circuit can trigger a relay to automatically have off road lights...
Why not just trigger them from your factory fog lights using the NC pin of a double throw relay?
Turn fogs on. Then when you go to high beams your fogs automatically go off and your off road lights go on. And vice versa.
Fogs should be a factory halogen not led, so just a 12v wire. Power the...
OK, yes it is Trail Control. Thanks for the answer. Sounds like it is similar to a low speed cruise control. Seems to do what Hill Descent Control did plus more since this truck does not seem to have Hill Descent Control like my Gen 2 did. There is also a trail turn assist in the menus...
No, not the R button. What does the button in the attached photo do? It's a truck icon rolling over hills. Above the display on the right, next to the traction control button.
My AC kept cutting out in La Paz when we were down for the 1000. Humidity I guess. Did it once in Phx in September. But it’s been fine in northern Baja and Arizona since then.
I hope Ford gets to the root cause of this but I’m not going to let the dealer have it for weeks and weeks if I’m not...
Just picked up my 23 R and found no tailgate step. I did not want a sunroof and that was bundled with an auto closing tailgate which I also thought was something i did not want. But little did I know that there is no pull out tailgate step without the auto closing feature. It does have a...
I like sport mode on mountain grades both up and down. But for flat highways normal mode is fine. I don’t really use it in town nor daily drive it. 90k on an 18 no issues yet.
I have both, each has its strengths. My Jeep is a 21 392 Rubicon XR with suspension winch armor and 37’s. It will definitely go places I want to go that a Raptor simply cannot. But if I’m not going for trails like that I much prefer the Raptor, I have an 18 but an R on order. We have a house...
Has Ford released a part # for real beadlock rings for the 23 Raptor R? Or does anyone know for 100% sure that the R uses the same wheels/rings as the 2023 37" V6?
Pulled the trigger on an R. Dealer should get order placed next week. Was told to expect June delivery. Pretty stoked. I love my Gen 2 which has been so much better than my Gen 1 was. Code Orange, no sunroof.
