Can’t go wrong with Whipple, or any screw for that matter. I have run both magnuson and whipple (not on a raptor) the tvs have come a long way but they are still a roots style blower (classified as hybrid now I believe) a screw is the most efficient. I am not sure whether they are making a 2.9L...
I have the king 3.0s on my gen 1 and thats where my truck lives. Shitty roads, broken pavement, gravel, you name it. The gen 2 ride would be greatly improved by these. My fronts have the quick adjust and 20 some settings. These will be very similar. The rears are amazing as well and the best...
Quote:Watching this, it's almost identical to the way the Icon system works just slightly different.
If my memory serves me correctly Icon uses a smaller additional piston to make them position and speed sensitive instead of the metering rod
With the 2011 turning 290,000km (180,000miles) the exhaust leaks were starting to get to me. So I decided to replace the manifolds, hardware and gaskets. I had never done manifolds on a 6.2, I remember how much I hated doing the 5.4L which is why I have been procrastinating this job for so long...
There are a few threads about 37s and how to accomodate them without a lift. You should consider the geiser bros front springs. I read a review that says it lifts the truck 3" I think. They were killer on the gen 1s. Those plus some +3 deavers and I think you are there. Lifting Raptors is...
All I am saying is it is a very safe tune. Not saying it is shitty. It has a warranty for a reason. But if I was to spend that kind of money on a blower kit I would want to be able to boil the tires anytime I choose. If the tune doesnt even allow me to do a burnout why did I buy a blower? I...
Yes that is a very good point, Fox definitely has a marketing advantage. I have a set of Kings on my gen 1 and couldn't be happier with them, my truck gets jumped and beat on daily so having 100k miles on them with no rebuild yet (other than the lower bushings) speaks volumes to the quality of...
I have a couple buddies with gen 1 roush stage 2 setups. The tune definitely leaves more to be desired. Very conservative, speed limiter and much of the torque management is still enabled. I imagine the gen 2 tune is much the same.
I have always been curious why everyone thinks Fox is the best? I am in no way saying they aren't a quality shock, but Kings are hand made in the usa, not mass produced in mexico. Plus they have a true 3.0, I have always thought that fox shox are false advertising. Their 2.5" is really a 1.75"...
The only way you could do it without a compressor is to use an actual press. They are all about the same amount of work to install. Mine still measures 1.75" rake which will settle a bit I expect once I get some miles on the deavers. Ideally I like 1", guess I should have gotten the svc...
I put the RPG 1.5" collar on mine and ran some errands around town before installing the deavers. Boy that sure made the truck handle alot different. Ass end doesnt seem to pogo and bounce as much on the rough stuff. The deavers really firm up the ride, very comparable to how they change the gen...
This guy doesn't speak for all Canadians, I love guns and wish we could carry hand guns like you guys down south. But yes, we do have many french, liberal gun hating people up here as well. Alberta has less of them, but they are still here.
I am with Raven, I tow a sled trailer all winter with the same setup. I just change the pressure in the bumps according to what I am towing. Works great.
