Ordered! Thanks for the link. Discount code wouldn't work. Probably too late in the day and it already expired. Ordered the driving lamp upgrade for the 2023 too:)
Looking at buying the function beadlock ring kit for my factory wheels on my 2020. Would like to use my Ford pass points towards them. Has anyone done this? Do they have to be purchased through the dealer?
Tried the ford performance parts website, but it can't find the kit I need, so it...
To each their own is right. Everyone has different tastes. But nobody gets flamed worse here than the people that put a cheap lift kit on their raptor. It should definitely be a choice to vote for. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that it is by far the worst mod due to it defeating the purpose...
If you're interested, I have a passengers side factory uca that you can have, if you wanna cover shipping. It's brand new, I no longer have a use for it.
CoronaRaptor had a sweet 69 mustang,(God rest his soul). Every time he posted pictures it made me Jones for one. 69 mach1 is one of my favorite cars of all time.
Maybe back in the 80s you could say back in the good old days, but not today. The only way to realize how far we have come is to drive something from back in the time you think things were better. Less power, worse handling, worse brakes and most likely less longevity. Maybe easier to work on, but...
Over the years of my off roading I have found that I carried alot of things with me I never needed, but other people I ran across did. From reading your other posts I assume you're a mechanic. I am also. 40 years. If you're meticulous about your truck the chances of you being stranded are about...
Nice to see that the members here have each other's backs. Getting harder and harder to find these days. Glad everything worked out.
FordTechOne, nice job! FYI, I'd never threaten to trade my raptor in on a Toyota, that's just wrong! Some things you just don't joke about
I've added a leaf right under the main leaf on several of my older trucks and never removed the entire spring pack. Where I live, after about 3 years the only way you're getting the eye bolts out is with a torch or Sawzall, and then replacing the eye bushings when you're done.
Picked it up from the dealership today. New front shocks, mounts, both uca's and an alignment.
Negotiated the bill down to a reasonable amount, so I feel better about that.:)
Sure is nice to be back in the raptor after driving an equinox for several days
Initially they diagnosed the right front shock for a clunk in the front end. I gave them that description because the service writer didn't know how to write up the play in my upper ball joints. He told me the shock would be covered under esp. I knew better, but if they could push it through I...
They removed the right front shock and disassembled it, destroying it in the process, after I told them I didn't want it replaced. Forced to buy a new one with the upper mount now. So I told them they might as well replace the left one too. It was supposed to get both uca's (esp covered) only.
Left it at the dealership due to a mistake on their part that will now cost me north of $2600, instead of my $100 deductible. At least I negotiated down from $3500. Having second thoughts buying the esp now. Should have just ordered the parts and did it myself.
I'm out of touch with alot of this stuff, but that code looks like maybe the dealer needs to program the module? I'm not sure what forscan is capable of doing.
Although I have many memories of my dad, some of the best ones were while he was in the nursing home (mentally he was strong til the end), and the conversations we would have. I learned alot about his past and had some good laughs too. I miss him dearly. Tie up those loose ends so you don't have...
Took it to the dealer today for an appointment. Needs both uca's and a r.f. "strut " as they called it.
No problem found for the intermittent IWE engagement.
So I had my appointment today. Needs both uca's and right front "strut" as they called it for a clunk in the front end.
As far as the intermittent IWE engagement; no problem found.
After they tried to blow it off with the same bulletin that says to disconnect and plug vacuum...
