    Gen 1 shocks should be available much cheaper than that. There are ford dealerships out there that sell factory parts cheap like tasca ford and a few others. I've dealt with village ford parts out of Dearborn, MI and been happy with their prices. I think I paid less than $1800 for all 4 shocks...

    If that's your wife's truck and that's what she likes, good for her. There's two raptors in my house too and my wife is totally into it. She loves her truck and she knows how she wants it to look. I do point her in the direction I'd like to see it go though, lol.

    Back out in the rzr again lookin at fall colors. Traveled a good amount of one of the legs of the snoball, huron bay/peshekee grade and dishno road. Cooked out on the trail. Beautiful day.

    Rear End Noise - something new?

    Based on your description of the noise, I'd say your inner pinion bearing is bad. If you still have the axles out, pop out the differential and spin the pinion by hand. Should be able to feel and/or hear it.

    Gonna fill in for @John M BUNMAN seein as he took a left turn out of Vegas and fell off the edge of the earth. Subway by a swamp and took in some fall colors, even though the weather wasn't the greatest. Sorry, no beaver shots, lol Sorry there's no raptor shots. Alot of the trails we took...

    I'd give it a few weeks and see if your dealer can help you out if you don't receive a notification from ford. You have until sometime in 2026 to get this taken care of. The big question now is will they hook us up with a front torsen next :anitoof:

    Not sure how they came up with that end build date. If you don't receive a letter in the near future I would contact your dealer. I would think they will cover all 23s.

    Very happy to hear this. This is the kind of support I expected from Ford. Maybe seeing the complaints on the forums helped make this happen. Maybe they will reimburse the people that added this themselves if you have receipts for the parts.

    The wide , large diameter wheels have to be terrible on the front wheel bearings. Makes any 4wd vehicle useless off road. After seeing the videos of trucks losing their front wheels on the highway and knowing how sh!tty GM wheel bearings are, I hate sharing the road with them, lol.

    I had a 1992 Super cab with the same combo. No powerhouse, but was a good engine. My personal favorite is the 351w from back in the day. Lot's of good experiences with that engine .

    300 inline six: 1966-1996 302 v8: 1968-1996 Sort of comparing apples to oranges though because emissions and other factors come into the reason why engines get updated /replaced nowadays. Although I've personally seen the 300 six and 302v8 go 300k plus after they were fuel injected.

    I'd definitely call Ford. I think they would help you out. Unless you're heavily nodded or you don't trust your dealer. Otherwise, I'd probably replace the housing myself .

    How far out of powertrain warranty are you? Might be worth a call to customer care to see if they can help you out. Might be the cheapest and easiest route. Ford should eat something like that.

    Overall, disappointed. I probably won't buy another new raptor. :( Under the 4x4 category on the build and price it says two speed AWD transfer case with mechanical locking 4x4. Does this mean a 2wd position is no longer available? Color choices aren't very good either. Just not...

    Usually has a bolt on extension for the front shocks, you have to cut the frame to lower the front diff, larger lift block between axle and rear spring and drop brackets for lower control arms. Add some larger tires with probably wider wheels that stick out more and you've increased the stress...

    GEN 1 Fuel pump relay fuse blows when key is inserted.

    If I remember correctly, you can hear the fuel pump run when you put the key in the ignition for maybe 2 seconds. I believe my gen 2 runs the fuel pump when I grab the driver's door handle when my fob is in my pocket. Seems like a convenient way to get around a fuel drainback/long crank time...
