Took delivery of our new truck today and had to sign a sheet acknowledging that the auto start/stop and heated steering wheel were missing, it's not a mistake and there will be no retrofit later.
I think the sad part about this is that you have people buying these trucks to simply flip them for a profit, even further distancing an enthusiast's ability to get one if their pockets aren't deep enough.
Just received word from my salesman that our truck has arrived at the dealership! Can't wait to take delivery, but unfortunately my work schedule won't allow that to happen until next week. Still pumped though.:Big Laugh:
Spoke with my dealer today and the date has been pushed out to 12/9-12/15 for delivery to the dealer. Truck is in Illinois. From there it heads to green bay by pack mule, lol. Been trying to sell our 2013 raptor. Not as easy as I thought it would be. All three parties who expressed interest in...
My brother-in-law recently took delivery of a 2022 gmc 2500 Denali at4 after a 9 month wait, and it showed up with no heated steering wheel, no heated and cooled seats or park assist. They weren't even aware of any of this until they tried using these features. Ford isn't the only company...
According to my dealer ours was built and moved off site for a period on "chip hold", which is apparently a generic term for still missing something. I was hoping all the while that the heated steering wheel removal would disappear on my window sticker. Our window sticker never changed other...
Only things deleted on ours is stop/start (yay), and heated steering wheel (boo). Hoping to add the heated steering wheel at a later date because it's a nice feature here in Michigan's U.P.
Was this the first email that you received? I haven't received any emails to this point. My blend date was 10/26 as well. Hoping ours isn't far behind yours :)
Today was the first I checked on it for several days. It reached the "built" point on 11/18. Window sticker says ours is gonna be shipped by rail to my dealer in Green Bay. Who knows when it will actually arrive. This coming week would work out nice as I'm on vacation and could pick it up anytime.
If it is as simple as installing a steering wheel and maybe a switch, hopefully there will be aftermarket options available that are less than $3400. I've seen one's for the gen2. Would be nice if ford cut us a deal when they become available, for us in the colder climate that use this option.
My guess is your truck is already built and on chip hold off site like mine. I had a blend date of 10/26 and my dealer told me it's off site on chip hold also. It could still show up on time. Don't lose hope, lol.
Mine's been "in production" since 10/27 and now when I click on the window sticker it doesn't show it to me anymore. Is the site not very dependable, or do I have something to worry about now? It has shown me the window sticker up until yesterday.
Beautiful pics as always, John. I have to say that there's something about the gen 1 that speaks to me. It's like the original mustang. The best? Not really. But it created something new. And you have to appreciate that. Whoever came up with the idea of the raptor, thank you. Or maybe ****...
