Oh haha whoops I forgot I still had this up. Looks like my plans for getting an RV are looking bleak so I was actually thinking of keeping it, but shoot me a PM and let me know what you had in mind.

:rotflmao:hahah you guys are great
I’m only asking because I’m not super familiar with what kind of abuse these guys can take before it’s asking for trouble. My Tacoma could take a hell of a lot of abuse and not flinch
Saw a couple articles mention Ford possibly doing an F200. Anyone have any deets or inside scoops?
From what I saw it looked like possibly could be a hybrid or even all electric..?
Yeah might wanna do some searching existing threads first. But yes 37s will fit with some lift and trimming. First thing I’d do is grab a winch bumper but that’s just me.
So yes towing wise, but NOT discussing towability suspension etc, but SPECIFICALLY addressing the engine only:
Would it be really hard on the engine to run under constant boost (~80% of the time at around 2-5psi) for longer (6-8+ hour trips) [say 5-10 times a year]?
Yes I know MPG will...
It depends entirely on the market and interest rates. If the markets not doing well then you’re better off. Could dive into the numbers but everything’s hypothetical. Two years ago the market was doing horrible and it was definitely worth it when I did it.
Yeah when I say tow a bit I’m talking about 8 hour one way trips with a 26’ box trailer.
I know f350s are really rough, a friend of mine DDs one. Not going 350
I actually have a solution for the soft suspension, but it’s the riding while under constant boost 80% of the drive that I’m...
Im now in the same boat, considering an F250 because I don't really go off-road anymore, and towing soon to increase.
Aside from suspension, is it hard on the engine to be under constant boost towing due to trailer air resistance??????
Bump for an excellent solution. I reached out to the fab shop and he said they could sell a kit separately but would be strictly a no-support or warranty kind of deal, just the brackets. Which would be great, but still pretty pricy. However he never ended up getting back to me. I don't...
For anyone with a 401k, being that interest rates are as bad as they are right now, consider looking taking a 401k loan. Much smarter way of doing it if you don't need more than 50k. Any interest you pay on it goes to yourself.
