I think its all a matter of expectations. With the name B&O and the amount you pay for the truck, people expect more. So people get disapointed and just say "It sucks"
I feel the same way about the LED headlights. They are good decent headlights, but are they the best out there? No, so you just...
I'm a dam good tech, and more. Been doing it for a long time. What bugs me is what people consider "questionable behavior" If someone knew better or all about their truck then they wouldn't be paying someone else do work on it. If you think the tech working on your truck needs "supervision" then...
Haha. Thats ok. Just shows the type of person you are. Does watching and questioning things help finish the job faster? Maybe they just do it different from what you consider "questionable" behavior. I wouldn't treat others that way, but thats just me. I'm sure most people have dealt with a boss...
Let me speak for all techs in the world that we love it when customers "watch us closely and question behavior that is questionable"
I also love it when customers question me doing something a certain way and say they read on the forums that you are suppose to do it a different way.
I agree, Mishimoto has always been known for lower quality products. Known as the "knock off" brand. A few years ago they started offering lifetime warranty on their stuff. Probably to increase sales or to help with their brand image.
Guys,
No spring should ever need to "break in" or "settle in" for noises to go away. Springs will make noise when not seated properly, not installed properly, not torqued down properly, etc etc. Assuming you don't have some weird rare defect then it is more then likely an installation problem...
I think you are looking into this way too much. Any modification to the spring will void your warranty, simple as that. Of course if someone throws a big enough fit then i'm sure the manufacturer will bend. If you disagree with the exact wording on the warranty page, talk to Eibach. Go ahead and...
Thats correct. The warranty is for the springs themselves. Installing them on a modified vehicle doesnt constitute a modification to the springs. If you cut them, paint them, etc, that is a modification to the spring. Eibach doesnt know how they were painted, or lets say painted incorrectly and...
I've been thinking of painting mine black so it blends in instead of standing out. Only thing to keep in mind is Eibach will void your warranty if the springs are painted.
100% agree with this. Funny on import cars when people do these things they are "ricers" but when truck people do it, its suddenly cool? Doesnt make sense to me. BUT, its other peoples money they can do whatever they want with it.
For guys worried about their trucks being stolen. Majority of theives do not have the tech or know how to steal a car/truck in this manner. If someone is motivated enough they will just flatbed the car/truck and its gone. No amount of kill switches will do anything. I am not losing any sleep...
The axle in the picture doesnt look new. If you have a temp gun check temp on brake rotor compared to the other side. Heat is transmitted from the rotor to the axle. On my Gen 1 I had a bad front left caliper, caused the front left pads to wear much faster then the front right.
I love how people make things up to make their argument better. Id love for anyone to show me the timing belt problem on a Gen 2, or even a Gen 1. Heres a hint... they dont use timing belts. I'm also wondering what a plastic oil catch or crank case sensor is.
For what its worth, I had a Gen 1...
All aftermarket mods that can affect "emissions" have been illegal in CA for the longest time. Nothing new there. Only things that are legal is anything with a CARB number, and even with that, some smog techs are refusing to smog the car. Your friend needs to find a mod friendly guy or get a...
Love the 10speed too. Only have about 10k miles and I was skeptical at first but I am happy. Shifts fine and smooth on regular driving and in sport mode shifts quick and aggressive.
