I went with a JBA side exit exhaust.
Pros = inexpensive($359), easy to install, very little drone( a tad bit more that stock.
Cons = I dont like the rear hanger setup so I changed it.
I thought I had a picture of the rear hanger that I didnt like. I will take one later today and edit this...
Made a new skid plate for my bumper, cut holes for lights and installed. Need to plastic dip it tomorrow. The original plate did not fit with the type of lights I run.
This is the original
This is the new one
I ordered a RACE SERIES from ADD asked them to build it to fit Baja Lights. I was asked to send the lights out to them so the bumper could be made to fit the lights. I wanted a 30 on top the bumper, a 20 inside the skid plate and 2 10's in the side for fogs. They never opened the light...
You explain the total problem yourself. When you upgrade things beyond stock you have zero argument that things are weak or a poor design. Anytime you want to upgrade 1 thing you better upgrade everything involved with your upgrade. And we dont need to bring up a rear frame raping here we know...
Funny how people think that the stock rear shock mount is a poor design. I have never seen a stock shock tear off. Now if you want to say that the stock system is a weak design when running aftermarket shocks ok I can agree with that. :)
I dont understand why people feel that when they buy a product and modify it then have problems and get pissed because the manufacturer refuses to warranty it. I can see if your radio quit working and they said that the larger tires and shocks were the cause of the problem but, your...
The 10 speed wont do anything for long distance hwy driving its for slow speed driving to keep it in the optimal tq range. I am thinking it should get 10-20% better than the current one. According to https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/34538.shtml they saying 11/16 combined 13 for the 2014...
Here is why I question this. With the current EB
365hp
420tq
Why would Ford only be able to get 440tq with 450hp?
Last year my buddy told me it was 450hp and 505tq and he works in the calibration department at Ford :)
You changed the design of the truck by adding 37' tires, now you need to change the axle gearing to match the factory design. Change your axle ratios to 4.56 or 4.88 (not sure if they offer a 4.56 front and rear ring gear). By adding 37' tires You changed your truck axle ratio from 4.11 to 3.88...
You can use my SCREW if ya chose... I bought a cheapie JBA system its ok but it aint a SW system!!!!!! I didnt like their rear hanger( was POS) so, I made a hanger and reused the stock rear hanger. Been on 2 years with zero problems also been through frf's havoc, spring runs and the...
Its funny that they are all trying to make it look that if you drive in a aluminum vehicle you will not be safe... I hope these people dont fly in a plane!! lol
