But I am out. Out of the country for a week. :-(
But all is well. Truck is at dealership and has been washed and PDI'd.
They are going to place it inside on the showroom floor with a theatre rope and a big SOLD sign on it. They were floored as they had not received any paperwork on...
Curious too.... Sounds like they'll make their's with pins on both sides that double as hinge pins...that can be removed on either side to pivot either way ?? Good idea.
Tiregate's website talks about patented or patent pending...wonder what the nature of those patents are and if they can...
I have looked high and low and there has been no "real testing". Certainly not on Youtube (or it has been hidden really well or not indexed). And Googling comes up with some comparisons but nothing current where the products we care about are looked at side by side.
Real testing would be...
So Raptizzle...is the one you have available to you the one from Wilco...ie Tiregate dot com in the pre-runner version? I see they have a Raptor version shipping. I like the looks of it. Mounted outboard it seems like a decent compromise as a bed extender. How difficult can it really be to...
No biggy on all the numbers... I did find that the number I referenced
220110112
Just means "Job 2" = build, followed by the build date.
That DRB number up top is simply Dearborn...with a sequence or something followed by the 2-letter code for the State where delivery is being made...
oh and Peppercorn... re: LED's vs HID's...be sure to read about the long range differences between the two. If distance is important, you may find the 8" rounds a better option.
SDHQ...thanks for the post.
I suspected a lot of what you confirmed...ie these light bar comparisons that are oh so easy to Google...are not apples to apples and not best to best comparisons as of Jan 2011.
Unfortunately I haven't seen any shootouts that seem to be unbiased and fairly...
Excited too!! Mine was right behind you. I'm guessing this number in the upper left may be a daily sequence number...
220110112
ie... maybe #220 vehicle produced on yy-mm-dd ???
were you by any chance 219110112 ??
Could be totally wrong but just wondering?
My VIN ends ...60762...
I hear what you're saying and agree with those that have pointed out that of course the two trucks ride differently based on their size, etc. What I don't quite understand is that with all your friends in high places and seeing the undressed beast, etc...that you still find the word...
Was reading this article about the latest MyFord Touch system and 2nd Generation Sync system that is going into the 2011 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKZ vehicles.
Made me curious about the exact feature set the system on the Nav equipped Raptors will have.
RE: Bluetooth integration - my...
Awesome Warrior! Have fun. Keep us posted...and pics.
Was at the LA Auto Show last week and saw the orange crew cab. Was so crazy at the display I didn't even take the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat...and the goofy orange lighting made me feel like I was under a warming light at a...
When I get my vehicle...pretty sure I'm going to spring for a winch bumper. Was curious if you had measurements for your bolt on product...is there an improvement in approach angle?
Also am curious about the departure angle of the rear bumper. Is that improved or pretty much a wash with...
:hmm: :roflsquared:
So nephew...when do you consider what you see on your computer's monitor "in WRITING"? I consider it when I click PRINT.
If you were serious about matching...you'd be doing it now.
My nearest "local" dealer is 1 hr 45 mins away...and as Randy said...has squat on...
The SuperCab rear seat legroom dimensions are within about 1" of my FJ (what I'm getting rid of). Kids are only getting older and taller. SuperCrew for me.
I love that they revisited all the engineering to make the Crew perform in a similar manner to the Cab.
