nodak and others....
the issue here isn't really whether you think the picture is clear...or said another way...if the picture looks clear as a bell to you. There will always be a difference in perception based on expectation and past experience. You all have (had the ability to) see the...
HR...Glad they got you up and running again.
So I wonder if you were on an older Sync version at delivery or what?...as Sync techs had said that my truck had all available updates. I am on Sync Version Gen1 - V3.2. Or if there really is some other update being done/possible??
This screen...
I had bookmarked those same Baja Design lights last night. Apparently the same lights that were used on the Dakar project. I like the candy red rings and think they'd look great on a black truck. Also considering the Hella varieties with the red rings.
Attached are some more pics of the...
Awesome pics. Thanks for that.
RE: the wiring...I also want to have them wired into the bright lights switch so they are easily and quickly turned off and on. My thought is to have them wired through an AUX switch that just includes or excludes them from the bright lights circuit.
Not...
A couple funny snippets from my chat with the Sync guy (Nick):
you: So I guess having to re-pair my phone, turn BT on and off, etc is kind of par for the course right now?
Nick: Yes unfortunately. I'm assuming you've had Bluetooth connectivity issues?
you: I also hate that if I have any...
More details needed. Did this audio guy load an actual Sync update? Version? what is it? Where did he get it?
Call me skeptical.
However I did chat with a Sync tech today. He suggested the Owner to Owner Sync forums where some of their engineers occasionally chime in. While this was...
BajaRider...awesome job! Love the look. Also how neatly you mounted everything. Good work.
Would love some close-up pics and description of how you cut up your grill. Did you leave it "raw as cut" or did you touch it up/paint the edges or what?
Driving over Teton Pass in blowing snow...
Thanks for the link. I had looked into that compatible phones list before I even took delivery. Also the phone compatibility chart just reaffirms my belief that the Sync people need to step up their game...when I see an "updated date" of 10/25/2010 that does little to instill in me a feeling...
My 2011 SuperCrew was delivered at Sync Version Gen1 - V3.2.
Sync support has informed me that I am at the latest version and there are no updates.
I tried to run the Sync Status Checker to determine that but it continually would fail. Support informed me that the Status Checker does not...
Susanne,
Thanks for doing all the hunting and calling, etc. I will be eagerly waiting to read some first hand user experiences. Maybe I'll be in on the next go round.
One question...just as your system makes Nav and video work while in motion...does it also enable the user to retrieve...
HR...good luck with your lost Media screen.
When the Sync system works, it is very cool and brings smiles to my face. Most of the time though it just pisses me off. Kind of like using Windows for the last 20 years.
I'm trying to remain optimistic that Ford/Microsoft will be forthcoming...
Yeah, I'm not holding my breath on Ford doing anything.
Have been researching some options...I'll post if I find anything.
I believe the cam and harness are Part No. 9L3T-19G490-BG
Might be some easy swap options.
Tim,
Thanks for keeping us all updated on your experience. Hope we can come up with an easy swap-in replacement cam that can fix the issues. Would love to learn who the supplier and model are for the current cam.
Of course the smaller size of the in-mirror version of the back-up cam image is not going to show the shortcomings of the camera as much. The real comparison is with other vehicles backup cameras and in that showdown the Raptor fails miserably. The color and contrast are all whacked out too...
After freezing my hands off at the do-it-yourself wash bay a few times...asked at the local no-touch bay. She said they'd had some other Raptors in there already (at least 3 Standard Cabs in town that I know of) and they fit fine. It only has one little tire rocker thingy that you pull your...
I think I read the tag, tore it off and threw it out. If I remember it was cold water gentle detergent wash, line or low heat tumble dry. The backing is a textured kind of poly something ?? I wouldn't think it would like a lot of heat or harsh detergent. Orvis has chat available at certain...
Ace is a Portuguese Water Dog...he likes the frozen water just about as much (pics attached).
...time to go take him on another adventure! Being the male model in the back seat only to be brought back in the house was not his idea of fun.
Just some quick pics of my new Orvis doggy hammock.
Pricier than some others I saw but this one is big enough for the Raptor rear seat. This is the XL "Deluxe Microfiber Car Hammock" in Sage. 62" Wide x 66" Long (which is really the combined length of the 3 panels: back, padded seat, front)...
Same here...'07 4.2 Premium. Wife has spilled more tea and coffee into the buttons than I can fathom. Seems original issues with the radio may have been unrelated (new amp...then a whole new controller...and I think a 2nd controller due to spills). Still my favorite SUV ever. ...but I...
Someone with access to a parts database...any difference in the part number? or if your 2010 cam goes bad do they replace it with a crappy 2011 version?
Was the 2010 in the Ford oval too?
There are only 3 greetings:
Good Morning
Good Afternoon
Good Evening
They change at Noon, at 7:00 PM and at Midnight.
Ford chose not to include good night for fear that you would go to sleep.
You can change the time under Clock in the Menu...but you cannot change when it thinks...
