Had a carbon fiber/leather steering wheel custom made, going to install it tomorrow... looking for swap instructions/photos and tips. Like, torque number on the main bolt? How to bolt it back on perfectly straight? Should be pretty straight forward I guess, but would like to get myself well...
I see.. so with this 18x9 I am moving the wheels in 0.5inch compare to 17x8.5... not very noticable probably in terms of looking... but with 18x9 I probably can stuff BBKs in... decision time:emotions34:
I am running mehod NV 17x8.5, 0 offset 4.75'' backspace.. if replace with 18x9, +18 offset 5.75'' backspace, are the wheels going to stick out more or less? Thinking to go 18inch so I can get some BBK installed, but doesn't wanna lose the wide stance.
Low beam vertical can be adjusted from the top, just like the OEM. Anything else has to be from the back. I don't think they pre-aim these lights at factory at all. On mine, driver side low beam was a little low, passenger side high beam was way too high. Horizontally looks OK. But I didn't do...
To those who have XB installed, did you needed to adjust the light after install? I have mine here. Brackets for whipple cooler is in the way, almost had to take off both the brackets and cooler to remove headlights... so I better make sure they are aligned before bolt everything back on.
Brighter than stock HID? by how much roughly? Still didn't find a local guy to do projector retrofit. Consider morimoto now. But some say they are NOT any brighter than stock HID.
Much better?
My 2014's headlights reduced dramatically. I would like to do the 50W Evox-R 2.0 retrofit but cannot find anyone can do that locally. If they are much better then I would replace the blubs first while contine seraching.
Installed a Spicer last month. I believe they are exactly the same except a FP brand plate. Used the included gasket, torqed to 14ft/lb, noticed very slow leak one week later. Hand tighted a bit more, no problem after. My 3/8 torque wrench is cheap and from ebay many years ago, so big chance I...
Found a local guy to do the job for me (bake headlights sounds too scary to do it myself), he recommends G5-EXL (brightest on the market) instead of EvoX-R 2.0 projector. Anyone has this G5 on the raptor? Would like to know some realy world experiences. EvoX-R 2.0 seems like a golden starndard...
