just checked mine tonight, says its set to 33.2 on the 93 OTS stage 1. seems to be right on at 35mph and 70mph gps checked with waze app ( not hooked up through carplay though, lol )
stock tire setup
Check that you didn’t over tighten anything and you greased the bolts/ bushings properly on the leafs if it’s riding that high / harsh.
Update us if you would after some miles, need to decide if the rake is bothering me enough to go up to option 2 on the leafs...
I ended up going to the local
Ford dealer, was only $90ish out the door for an alignment. You could go a few days without one and let it settle in before getting one done, but you will need one at some point soon. The ACC is fine and still works without an issue, they didn’t have to touch...
I’m wondering the same thing... going to replace that factory hose and run the full race throttle body spacer with port for BOV actuation hose as well. I’ve also heard more ‘ticking’ noise comes from the setup Turbo Smart has you do via there splitter/ hose.
All depends on what you want / are going for...
A drop shackle in the rear would be a low cost / easy install option. If you want the front to remain the same height/ rise feel.
If you want the front higher, a collar lift of 1.5” wouldn’t be bad, but the ride stiffness will increase some.
Or...
Yes and like I said, that’s with 150 ish lbs between my Bak x2 and gear. Plus even just the weight of a full fuel tank, I swear it didn’t have a rearward rake like it slightly does now full, than the other day when it was getting close to empty... I just forgot to measure this morning before...
Well 27k on the Odom.
36psi in the tires
Pre measurements were
39.5”front
40 7/8”rear
Icons sat highhhh at first but settled rather quickly after first few hundred miles, Still waiting to see if the Geisers are going to drop anymore ( which from talking with the manufacturer they probably...
Just measured mine again today after another fill up and a total of 1000ish miles on the Geisers and icon option 1, front is at 42”, rear 41. 7/8”. Stock tires, and 100-150lbs in back 2017 Screw
MZ. My measurements were all over the place the first couple days too, I figured it was partly due to the leaf bolts and shackles being at too high of a torque at first, vs my measurements a few days later after retorque to the lower ( correct) specs. And now that they are breaking in I’m...
not sure if they'd be better or not? i originally liked the idea of the stronger bump pad for the stock length bump stop to hit and distribute the impact over a larger area of the axle with the Forged plates, than Icon's solution of using a spacer puck and longer bolt to extended / lengthen the...
Definitely do not over tighten the bolts. I did first go around to the gen 1 specs, then loosened things and retorqued a few days later and then rear springs sat down a little lower where they should be.
i cant seem to figure out how to upload pics on here.
but some pointers would be , for the rears,
-first coat them with amsoil MPHD or similar a few coats and let them dry a few days to keep rusting to a minimum.
- a second set of hands will be needed for lifting the old and new springs in and...
I just did Icon leafs on option 1 with the Forged off-road bump plates (extra 1/4” or so of height added under the leaf) and Geisers up front on mine about 2 weeks ago, with about 150lbs in the bed between Bak rev X2 cover and some tools in a tote, truck is sitting now at
I just did Geisers...
Yeah I saw someone post on one of the Facebook forums about this noise, best way to minimize it is to reinstall the factory hose and to get the Full Race ( I believe is the name) throttle
Body spacer that has a spot for
A nipple to run the hose for the BOV off of.
MZ, I’m no expert on the subject matter, so maybe someone else can chime in on it. The science would say it’s a stronger connection/ hold if more of the pin heads were sticking down into the axle mounting points. But is it strong enough???? For me the truck is a daily driver, if you’re going...
No the u bolts have plentyyyy of threads coming through, too much actually, ICON says to cut the excess off of them to 2-3 threads extra. I’m talking about the two bolt per leaf that hold the leaf packs together, the bolt head ( which are actually round) fit into/ through the forged bump...
this is what i ordered and installed with my ICON RXTs last weekend. they work, but FYI there is barely what i'd consider enough of the pins/bolt heads hanging down through bump plates to sit and line up the springs with the axle mounts. i thought it'd be a better/ stronger option than just...
That I would get if it was a matter if they didn’t have the specs because they didn’t update their stuff. Especially if was a small business, but I figured a large chain business like Conrad’s with tons of shops would be up to date. But this was made pretty clear that it was a fact of I was...
