What really sucks about that mark up, which I didn’t realize, is paying sales tax on the total sale. So not only giving the dealer extra dollars but the state too. Woof.

I def think majority pay msrp. I don’t see any reason to reverse lie. I paid msrp for a gt350 when they came out. Early 2020 I almost bought a 2020 fully loaded SCAB for 9k off. What a mistake that was.

Local dealer here in northern Va said he had 40+ leads to call and wanted me to buy their 37 pack for 25k over. Also said a wholesaler offered 25k over but the owner of the dealership said he wanted to sell “local” and declined said offer. None of that makes sense to me.
Hard to compete when people are throwing 20/30 like it’s loose change. Just spoke to a dealer who said a 22yr old came in with cash and paid 20k over. So that’s cool.
