For what it's worth, I was initially pretty surprised at how quiet the Corsa extreme is. I was expecting it to be louder from the driver's seat after the reviews I had read on here. It's a solid option for a daily driver. Even the people that have told me they thought the truck was pretty loud...
Be sure to put up some pics when you get them on!
I had been wanting to buy a set of the dt-1's myself and have been a bit hesitant for the same reason since its nearly 3/4in further out than a method due to wider wheel size combined with the low offset
If you're open to it, it's probably easiest to just remove or swap out the black corsa tips for some other cheaper exhaust tip for winter months. It may be the same or less annual time and cost investment over applying/reapplying some chemical protection product. There's some for around $30 on...
Its normal.
I've been running these same pads for about 6-8 months (including a 14k mile road trip) and used to have some brake noise under the same conditions. (Pads bedded per ebc's instructions)
For me the noise became quieter and occurred less frequently as the pads wore down. Also became...
For what it's worth:
I have an svc tune on my '13 and have noticed this exact same thing from time to time. So spending that money may not resolve the issue, especially if the tuner isn't sure what is causing it to begin with.
I just read some of the other threads on hemholtz resonators, drew what I wanted on a Post-It and went to my local muffler shop. They were easy to work with and did a great job. It seems like there at least a few shops that will tell you it doesn't do anything, just so you know.
Also, I found...
Agreed, I stopped by few months ago on a cross country road trip and was able to check out their shop while getting some bedside graphics. They have an awesome team and do great work.
Supercrew.
Pipe is 24"x3" from tip to center of where it meets with the mbrp. I read some guys using longer and had originally started with 29" and worked my way down. Works pretty well for about 65mph give or take.
+1 for this. I had done this to my mbrp turndown (resonated version) and saw significant improvement.
Took a couple tries to get the right length though.
Have any of you actuLly been able to get the DRLs(front turn signals) to work? For me activating the setting in my '13 causes either for scan to read as an error for that setting or my cabin lights to flash continuously until I change it back.
Does the actual code need to be modified or just...
I was in the same boat having just had the trans serviced before heading to TRR.
I just swapped mine out for this cooler from RPG a couple weeks ago. I just popped off the upper hose first and plugged it with a bolt. Had maybe a few drops of fluid loss at most. The fluid from the cooler wil...
Did you shorten your reservoir in order to run this intake? Would simply making a bracket and relocating it be feasible (sort of like jlt)? I have an RPG reservoir and was considering buying this but I'm a lot less motivated to do so if I'm going to need to hassle with fitment.
The oem heat range is 6?
if so, looks like the 6509 is the oe replacement (heat range 6)
6510 is one step colder (heat range 7)
there was some previous posts stating otherwise but this appears to be consistent with what ngk has listed online
personally, i don't feel like it made a massive difference in wheel hop when tooling around town. If youre already spending the time and money to have them rebuilt, its probably a good idea to have it done anyway though. Turnaround time on their stuff is crazy fast. These guys are the real deal.
