I have the exact same questions- how to hear the turbos and do CAI’s potentially void engine warranty claims. I like to hear the turbos so I know how everything is running. To the OP, a drop in HP can be easily checked. Take it to have it dyno-ed (typically under $100 go get a horsepower measurement) or download an app that will estimate HP based on vehicle weight and acceleration. Should I buy an extended warranty?
Are you allowed any modifications with these warranties? A lot of times, a simple air intake will void non OEM warranties. If it’s the original warranty, Ford must prove your mod caused the failure. Not sure with the extended.- TurboTJ
