Think I blew up my front diff

Looks like you guys have a pretty good website. I’d probably just do a demand letter if I were you and see what they respond with. Looks like you can Find your county here: https://www.courts.ca.gov/selfhelp-advisors.htm These also look helpful. https://www.courts.ca.gov/1007.htm...

Think I blew up my front diff

I would write the 7 day demand letter for all the costs you incurred as a result of them not doing it. You probably won’t be able to charge for your labor but you could try. I would also include the Uber receipts. I would bet they will be on the phone with you the same day they get it. They...

Think I blew up my front diff

sorry to hear about everything you had to go through but happy to hear you’re back up and running. If it were me, I’d submit this to small claims court. Long ago I got tired of trying to figure out who is denying what and for what reason. Far easier to pay the filing fee and have them lay out...

Fits in the Garage ... Barely!

What about some nice ADD bumpers. Probably save you 1-2” right there and at this point you probably have to buy them!!! ;) Maybe I should buy a house with a short garage so I have an excuse too.. You think that the drywall will scratch the truck? I bump stuff with my bumper all the time but...

INTERCOOLER THOUGHTS? Are they worth it?? Noticeable improvement?

Good god there is a lot of misinformation here! I’ll try to correct some of it More boost = more power in general. Yes more boost may cause issues and diminishing returns but remember, more boost typically means more airflow which means more power, everything else being equal. There are second...

    Reliability vs Tundra TRD PRO

THIS ^^^. This is a wise man (Please tell me the Mitsu was a 4G63 or 4B11T engine) I came to the same conclusions as him. Go out and have fun with these! If the only fun for your day is the drive to work, a Raptor will make it better; especially as your spotting skills improve at locating...

2019 Raptor Hit While in Driveway

That looks horrible. See if your state lets you file for diminished value. Probably at least a few k there. That’s very generous of the repair shop but I don’t think it’s in their interest to total it and loose the work. I’d watch them closely. Except that it’s not “also true”...

Possibility of Raptor Production Being Paused?

I highly doubt it. It probably won’t be like Jeep either where they were producing the JK and the next gen JL at the same time. In major projects, there’s typically enough delays without artificially adding them in. The dealers have many gen 2’s to get rid of though..

By you?? I’m a little suspicious. You have any evidence?

    ko2 and snow

I taught my girlfriend to put it in slippery mode. That way she doesn’t have to worry about changing anything else. Just remember, she has to switch to that specific mode with each startup. I don’t know what NH snow is like but for CO snow (which is typically dry and fluffy), they do great...

Let’s see those Raptors in the snow!

I’ve been using “Deep mud/snow” when it’s more than a foot deep. Seems to do great. We made it past every single stuck vehicle out there today (except the a-holes that parked in the middle of the road. Waited tell they moved). I left the rear diff locked and had to try twice to make it up one...

Literally just got back from snow wheeling and Christmas tree scouting! These raptors are incredible in the snow!!! Picture from maybe an hour ago

    2019 - 2020 Raptor Geiser/deavers

Geiser’s are progressive. While most springs have a constant stiffness (Eibachs), the Geiser springs get more stiff as they are compressed. This allows a stiff spring at high compression and a soft smooth ride at low compression. I have no first hand experience with them. Maybe someone who has...

I don’t want to derail the thread but I would replace that diff cover and go back to stock.

    2019 - 2020 Raptor Geiser/deavers

I think you just need to buy the bracket to make sure your factory bump stops still have something to hit. Stock, they contact the lift blocks. Once you remove these, you just need to provide a new surface, if I remember correctly. Let us know what you end up doing as I will likely do the same...

    Raptor Assault 2019 11-15

it was amazing how some people caught so much air! I’m convinced they put it in 4WD to get up to speed. Me and my partner had no luck getting any significant airtime with 2WD and letting off before the jump...

    Raptor Assault 2019 11-15

I was there on Friday as well. I have an all new love and respect for my Raptor. I scrutinize my mod list a lot more to make sure I don’t screw it up! I’ve never had so much fun in a Raptor before in my life!! Remember, one year from date of purchase to go. Sign up ASAP!!! You can’t bring...

    GEN 2 Tapping sound

I’ve been thinking about taking mine in. Whatever it is, it seems to be non-destructive.. at least so far. I’m gonna record mine and see how many taps per second it is. The engine is idling at ~600RPM which is 10 rotations per second. If it’s close to that, this would imply an output shaft or...

    Raptor Assault

the only reason I disagree is it’s still a $5,000.00 deductible! If you bump someone from behind because they stop, it probably won’t exceed that and if so, not by much. Also, they might ask both parties to split it in which case the combined deductible is $10,000.00 before insurance kicks in...

    2017 - Blown engine - 42k miles

The fuel pump and/or cam phasers are my bet, as others have mentioned. I believe the high pressure direct injection comes on at high throttle so if the other pump started failing, this would explain some of your symptoms (why you had to be mashing it to go anywhere). it would not explain...

    Raptor Assault

Great to hear!. I fly to Utah on Thursday. Do you recommend paying the $80ish for insurance? I opted not to figuring I would be timid and any damage I did would be well below the $5k deductible.

    Imposters...

I always think, “why is that Raptor so ugly and low to the ground?... and why did they add an air dam?.. head scratch... ohhh it’s a Fraptor!” Then I over heard someone at a party explaining how his base F150 Fraptor was even better than a Raptor because he installed a lift kit. The...
