Absolutely agree and fully underline that. Thank you for the warning. - however if the Can bus is read by a inductive sensor (like they have) on the CAN wire - so there is no physical connection - i assume the possible risk should be almost not existent ? Many thanks for your valued opinion.

Personally i use the "Bad Elf" external GPS unit with also recording capability. It can be paired via Bluetooth to the iPad or in my case a Microsoft Surface GO - works great - also to record tracks etc. https://bad-elf.com/collections/bluetooth-gps

Finally had some time to prep a very short video, took the dashcam video and put the thermal video next to it as comparison. The brighter white = warmer can see that good in the parking garage you can see which cars just parked due to hot engine area.
