I took mine to a local stereo shop to have the radar detector hard wired. It took them 20min.
As for the phone I bought 2 foot coiled USB phone cords.
The cords skirt the edge of the dash up to the phone and are compact enough to stay out of the way.
But you can get RAM Mount track balls that you can be put in without taking stuff apart.
You mount it. So do what you like!
It takes about 40 min of slow unlabored work. Ya know, reading instructions or watching the video, do a little work, double check. Once you know it how it takes 10-15 min...
The radar is mounted with a RAM magnetic mount. It comes with a metal plate that you adhere to the bottom of the radar detector and the place it on the mount.
So, I got quote on from a shop for CAI and asked how much hp wil it add. The tech said 125hp easily. Having run high hp sports cars for decades I knew that was a huge stretch, but then I have never had a turbo V6.
Having the MPT tune for the truck I thought I better ask them to see if the tune...
Waste of money. Do your research on here by using the search feature and you will read all that CAI does not add any power, it only adds turbo spool sounds.
