Update my shocks have been sent back from forged. Looks like they put new valves on the bottom part of the shock. Now i just have to find some time to get them installed.
Not really what did i do today but more what have i done the past two weeks. I put red vinyl behind the svt, painted my tips black, mounted my venomrex wheels on my fuel tires, made a custom inlay for the wheels to match the svt and put on the Texas ford decal.
The reason I am thinking it would be okay is because Lift kits that use longer shocks/springs are used reliably on other trucks and are recommended over spacers because they are supposed to be better on suspension components. So all I was asking is if longer shocks/springs are okay on other...
Jesus Christ dude I AM NOT SAYING THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEMS I AM JUST TRYING TO ASK QUESTIONS AND GET ANSWERS. i am not trying to prove anyone wrong i am literally just asking for real world experiences.
I am aware of the spacer lifts as well because my truck had one too. If you look at my posts you can see that whole ordeal. Now for my questions again im not talking about spacers im talking about longer shocks/springs. These kits are sold for every truck to level them and are considered...
I will ask again, have you seen any reported damage because of gen 2s on a gen 1 i asked you before and you didnt answer me. I am by no means saying you are wrong or clamming i am an expert i am just asking for real world feed back not people just saying it cant work. Why is it that the most...
Like i stated earlier plenty of leveling kits are just longer shocks and springs which is exactly what this is. So yup we will see what happens one way or another i guess but no one has reported any damage and plenty of people run them. again i have ran plenty of trucks that are leveled with...
So i finally got the truck back and all i can say is holy shit. It rides great, better than the shocks that came with the truck. I am sure that is because they needed to be replaced anyways.
For the fronts to work you have to change over the springs and the shock hat. As far as if its a bad idea I pick up my gen1 with gen2 fronts today. My thoughts were I got them fro less than 200 and plenty of vehicles have lift kits for the front that are a longer spring/shock combo to level it...
From my understanding when ever you tune a vehicle it reads as a battery disconnect. That leads ford to believe there might be a tune so they dig through engine parameters so see if anything was changed. So there is no way they actually see a tune its just they get close to lead them to believe...
No need to start a war or cause any drama, Forged is making it right and taking care of me. I will report back how the ride is once the truck is put back together with no spacers.
