The two biggest reasons to keep a new product secret:
1) You don't want to smother sales of your current product
2) You want to give the competition as little time as possible to respond

Raptor sells nearly 30k units per year. That's more than Corvette. Tesla Model X or S. And nearly as many as all Porsche models combined. It is most definitely a high volume model and not nearly as special as you think it is. Just ask any of the dozen or so Raptors I see every day on the road.
